Christmas Gift Suggestions

To your enemy, forgiveness;

To an opponent, tolerance;

To a friend, your heart;

To a customer, service;

To all, charity;

To every child, a good example;

To yourself, respect. ~Oren Arnold

Wishing you... my dear reader, a beautiful snowy day.

Cindy,
So true, so true! Imagine the world if we were kinder and nicer to each other. I often think of the money wasted on war that could be spent on those in need, and for medical advancements.

Beautiful and so true. How is that kitchen going? I would love to see some pictures along the way. What did you decide for the flooring?

Hi Cindy,
I would love it if your wish of a beautiful snowy day would come true for me, but I live in Southern California...fat chance huh? :-( A girl can dream. I love your post...sentiment and pics. Have a wonderful evening my dear friend.

Hugs and Kisses,
♥Ana

Neat, Cindy! That's a beautiful post. Not only are the pics beautiful (I want to get a copy of that mag), but the thoughts are lovely, too.

XO,

Sheila :-)

Thanks for stopping by my blog.
I wanted to email you, but couldn't find an addy, so I'm replying to you here. :)
Our bathroom doors were the same as yours: the inside panel left wood and the outside area painted. They really looked awful, as you can tell in the before photo.
Thankfully, my hubby isn't particular about what I paint.
If you do use the vegetable oil to soak your door hardware, be aware that it is a goopy mess!
After I simmered in the dish detergent solution and installed them back on the doors, one of the door knobs leaked oil for a week or so.
Ah well, part of the learning process of home reno's.

Your photo on the top of your blog is amazing. How did you take it to focus on the items in the foreground?

Thanks cindy, I sometimes have the same problem. I could not find a bed within my budget for my guest room...it was the last thing I did to finish the room. I am still waiting for the right bench to go at the foot of the bed. But part of the fun is the hunt, right?
