Feather Your Nest Thursday

Welcome, I'm so glad you have stopped by today.

Today I'm joining a brand new meme over at Secret Garden Cottage.  It's called Feather Your Nest Thursday.  And if you know me, at all, I am all about women Feathering their Nests.
So today I have added a bit of pink to my yellow and white kitchen.  Soft shades of pink and yellow are so very cottagey.  I love them together.  My first peony to bloom, I just had to cut it and bring it into the house.  I love peonies and I have about six of them!

I love this old plate that my son gave me last year for Mother's Day, and yes, it's pink.

Pink on the sideboard, in the glass container there.  See it?  And on the little vintage towel hanging on the door.

No pink here, but our house finally got it's final coat of paint and we are so loving the color of it.  It reminds me of pale celery, very cottagey, I think.  It's kind of hiding behind the tree there.

Thank you for stopping by for a look at how I am feathering my nest.  Please go over to see how Jojeana at Secret Cottage Garden is feathering her nest, as well as the others who have joined the party.  Oh and take a look at Jojeana's cottage, it is so sweet, I love everything that she has done there.

The weather here is very stormy again today, this storm blew up from Montana.  Don't storms know they aren't supposed to cross International borders?  I'm just kidding, it would be nice, though, if the storms would stop at the border, then we could enjoy some summer weather for a while.

Hope you are enjoying your day,

Hi Cindy!

Beautiful photos! I love your peomy (ies). I had never seen this gorgeous flower until I moved to TX. The first spring, I was surprised when I walked out of my front door to the sight of the gigantic buds. When the flowers opened, I was floating for days...They are such spectacular flowers.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving your sweet comments. Hope to see you again. (the water photo was taken on the beach near my home...on the Gulf of Mexico. We're praying the oil does not come our way...and that all oil is stopped before catastrophic damage results.

I love your lovely touches in your kitchen. I spied a beautiful silver tray. I am on the lookout for one myself. I recently started collecting some silver. Thanks so much for coming by.

Your pink touches look great, and I really like the house colour! I know I said that before, but now with the leafy trees it looks so good!

Hi Cindy,
Love your touches of pink-the peony is so pretty too. I also love the color of your home-it looks so pretty peeking out behind the tree.
Thank you for your sweet comments on my blog-To answer your question about ants on peonies I just give them a shake or two before I bring them in the house but they don't hurt the peony.
Enjoy your weekend,

Dear Cindy,
I see that you also love peonies!! Me too! Yesterday I bought 50 pieces of them!! Because I don't heve them yet in my garden but in autumn we will plant them!!
I placed the peonies all over my house! I love watching them and I love the smell!! Oh wonderful isn't it?
I think the colour of your cottage looks great, although it is not that clear on the picture! But I am sure it is beautiful!!
Well, I know how you feel with that bad weather you have ! Here it is similar! Only 15°C.this very moment!!! It does feel as the start of Autumn!!! Can you imagine???
So, you and me, we have to concentrate to something else than the weather this weekend! Maybe some good music or watching a good movie or having a nice chat with friends,or... enjoying our peonies!!
Big hug !

One of my favorite things to do is to feather my nest... my honey thinks if he is off , we should be going somewhere. He can not understand that I am my happiest puttering around in my own home. Yesterday I was finding a new home for some small things I picked up at my favorite junk store ... Yes, I love to feather my nest... I think that makes us the "Lucky Ones". I love the feathering that you did, the flower is beautiful and so peaceful looking , thanks for sharing.

Cindy, I have no idea how I missed this post last week, but I absolutely love it. And the house! It looks stunning in its new coat of paint. Don't you love it?

I love that picture with the pale yellow wall and the plate with pink roses. Perfection. So is everything. You've done SUCH a good job. You should be very proud of yourself!
