Ready for Autumn

Happy Monday!  I hope your day is going well!  I am so glad you have stopped in for a visit.  I am excited about decorating for Autumn.  With soft yellow walls, as a background, I am able to use all of the Autumn colors.

Today I am joining a sweet little meme over at House in the Roses.  Go over and see others show off their cottages.

The leaves aren't changing on most of the trees, they are just falling off, all dry and crunchy.  I love the sound of Autumn!

I love the picture above my fireplace.  I found it last year at the GW store. At the bottom of the picture it says Autumn ~ Quebec on one side and Canadian Pacific on the other side.

I love the old quilt on the back of my chair.  It's about 40 years old and was given to my family after our house burnt down by one of the families in our community.  It is made from scraps of clothing.  It's one of my treasures.

And, of course I had to add some Autumn color to my sideboard.  I know, some of it's not real  fruit, but sometimes you just have to cheat.  Right?

Enjoy the first day of Autumn tomorrow!

Your home is lovely and sooo inviting. I love the quilt on the back of the chair. I have one from my grandmother in similar colors. This is my first visit to your blog and I plan to look a little more before leaving.

I love all of your fall touches! Trying to do the same thing around my place. Don't you just love this time of year? The picture over your fireplace goes so well with your decor. Who would've ever guessed it came from GW? Happy Fall!

You have done such a beautiful job designing your home! I imagine you love cooking in your new kitchen and having fun playing with different displays on your sideboard. I didn’t know you had a house fire, I can’t even imagine how difficult that would be. Life throws us curve balls sometimes, but we just have to do the best we can.
Hugs, Cathy

Lovely, as always! It's hard to get in the mood for fall here - it's still in the 90's! Your living room looks so cozy :)

Dear Cindy, thank you for showing us around your lovely cosy home, it sure is beginning to look the part. We have changing leaves but hot weather today. Please visit my blog as you might be able to help me. God bless you, dear sister-in-Christ :o)

Thank you so much cindy, for getting in touch. My family and friends will not read tracts so Im after anything that will explain the disappearances AFTER it's happened. You know how there will be lots of silly theories, including alien abductions. There must be something I can leave behind for those who have been left behind. Thanks for your help.

I'm so glad you found the quilt. I want to try and make one as a throw for our family room. Maybe this winter, when the lawn will need zero attention. Love you,

Hi Cindy,

Every time I see that gorgeous sideboard of yours I remember your kitchen remodel process and what wonderful progress you made and how much you must be enjoying the beautiful results. It truly does look ready for a cozy fall.
