Lazy Snow Day

I started making bread first thing this morning...

...then started a crock pot of chili.

It's been snowing all day long...

I didn't even go outside to take the photos, I'm such a wimp today.

I just want to get into something more comfy and read a book, what better thing to do on a snowy day?

Supper's ready!

Wherever you are, whatever your weather, I hope your day is as wonderful as mine~

Smiles and Hugs,

Cindy

It all looks so yummy, Cindy! No lazy day for us...we travelled back from the USA, where we took advantage of pre-Thanksgiving sales to do some Christmas shopping...

Baking bread doesn't sound like a lazy day to me! Yum! I might get lazy after I ate some though. Still warm here. Just went for a walk this evening in flip flops.
Sounds like you had a cozy day!

Homemade bread, yum!

Your chili looks great too, Cindy.

It snowed south of St Louis today. Just a little bit and didn't last long. We didn't get any at all, up up here in the country!

Your snow pictures are so pretty, but I'm just not ready for that yet. It's been raining here all day long and they said we may get a dusting of snow tonight when the temp drops. Might get us all in the mood for Christmas.

My kind of day. I wish I lived near by, I would so come over and get some of that bread... my weakness is homemade bread. I used to make it, but I can't control myself from eating it all...

HI Cindy...

Girlfriend, I just read your sweet note and wanted to come over to say hello and see how you're doing? Oooh...it looks like a Winter Wonderland at your place! I love the snow...it just leaves everything looking sooo magical...don't you think? We are supposed to be getting snow this evening. The wood stove is already burning and I have a big ol' pot of chili on the stove as well! Hehe! Sure wished that I could say that I've been baking bread though. It has been awhile since I've baked any and it would be sooo good with the chili!

Girlfriend, I did a little catching up while I was here at your place. Just wanted to tell you how beautiful your kitchen looks in it's Christmas frocks! Love your Christmas village that you placed above the sideboard! Soooo beautiful and sooo festive! Can you believe that Christmas is just around the corner? Where does the time go to? Hehe! Thank you so much for sharing all of your Christmas pretties and beautiful snow with us...ahhhh!!!

Warmest winter wishes,
Chari @Happy To Design

Ah, it looks so inviting! Since I have been gluten free I hardly make bread (well, also because my kids are not here to help eat it). I love the smell of it cooking and I used to make several loaves a week! Chili is such a comfort food especially in cold and snowy weather--I love cooking it in the crockpot and letting the aroma fill the house for hours. I like ANY excuse for reading a good book!

Ps. love the little window display areas at the tops of your kitchen cabinets!

Hi Cindy,
I can just smell your home made bread!yummmm. My Mom just brought me over some home made Portuguese sweet bread, I love to toast it and spread butter on it.
Your chili looks delish too..you are a amazing cook Cindy. I'm not the best cook, I cook because I love to eat LOL...
We have had a lot of frost and its affecting my plants, we did not get snow, although I think its cold enough to snow..
Keep warm by the fire...
Talk to you soon,
Elizabeth

You can send that snow here, we have none and the kids and I have been checking the weather channel every day to see if we will get any. Oh that bread reminds me of my mother, she used to bake bread when we were at school and to come home to that, yummmm.
