Life Is Good!

My oldest daughter gave me the little frame in the stand for Christmas.  I love the frame, but what makes it so special is the photo in it, it's of my parents when they were just dating, way back in the early '50's.  I love it.  The photo and frame are from my favorite gift and decor store in Western Washington, Grandiflora, check it out.

Both of my grandsons were born in January, so I want to say a special Happy Birthday to them, they are both very energetic, fun loving boys.  They are also very fun to be around.  I am so blessed to have two such happy, healthy grandsons.
Happy Birthday Jonathan and Nathan!

This is Jonathan from last summer and it looks like he has a juice smile!

Jonathan when he was two.  He is now nine, he's growing up so fast.

Nathan as a tiny baby, he was three months old here with his mom and dad.

Nathan is now four years old.  I can't find a newer photo of him, this was taken the summer of 2009.  I don't know where I hid all of the photos from last summer, but I can't find them.  Can you tell that I am feeling nostalgic, children grow up so fast!

I try to keep up with the date on this little date cube, but like everything else, it's difficult because time is going by so quickly.  If you have small children, do everything you can to slow down and enjoy them, they will be gone much too soon.  Trust me!

I hope you are enjoying a beautiful day, it is sunny and cold here, and it's time for me to head out for a walk.
Do all you can to make this a very good day!

Precious boys!!! I know what you mean about slowing them down...I TRIED! But, mine are now 25 and 27 and though we share many great times together and this age has its benefits... I MISS them being young and home with me!

Hi Cindy, very sweet grandsons you have. Happy Jan. birthday to both of them. And yes, you are so right, it is amazing how fast they change and grow up.
I should use some kind of calendar like you. Whenever I have to think of the date, I am almost a few days behind :)

What a sweet post of your dear little grandsons for their January birthdays. Time does go so quickly - enjoy the moment. I like your display on the shelves with the old silver ware. It is extremely cold here today -16 with a windchill of -34! We're not used to this so I am thankful the sun is shining. Blessings. Pamela

Hi Cindy,
I love your frame! its so cottage..and the special photo in it of your Mom and Dad is so sweet!.
Can you believe I have had company every weekend since before Christmas! yep I have...I am so behind on my visits..but I have been thinking of you..
So yes you are right about my white chandelier it is off center. The electrical was already there in the ceiling when we moved in. Gary and I are going to have it moved, so its center above the dinning room table. We need to call the electrician out to run a few more outlets inside and outside so at the same time we will have the light moved. There has been so many things we have had to do in the house the electrical has had to wait.
Happy Birthday to yout boys....they are so darling.
Have a sweet day and hugs, Elizabeth

You're right, Cindy, it does go fast. I'm starting to see that, despite being in the thick of it.

I do try and remind myself to enjoy every moment.....amidst the wiping and washing and scrubbing and cajoling!!

Hope you had a lovely walk.
