Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all of you Mothers.

M - O - T - H - E - R
"M" is for the million things she gave me,
"O" means only that she's growing old,
"T" is for the tears she shed to save me,
"H" is for her heart of purest gold,
"E" is for her eyes, with love-light shining,
"R" means right and right she'll always be,
Put them all together they spell

A word that means the world to me.
Howard Johnson (c. 1915)

My mother and my mother-in-law both passed away while fairly young.  Sadly, they both died of cancer, so this weekend my husband and I don't have anyone to spoil.  If you still have a mother, let her know how much you love her and appreciate the sacrifices that she made for you.  No mother is perfect, we are all human, but most of us do and have done our best, I'm sure.  My daughter and daughter-in-law are fabulous mothers, I am so proud of them both.  Nothing in this world has given me more pleasure than being a mom and a grandma.

Have a lovely weekend, my friends.

Today I am joining Family in Faith Blog Hop.

Happy Mother's Day Cindy! Being a mother is one of the best gifts in life and being a grandmother is the icing on the cake.
Your home looks so serene. I can just imagine you sitting, reading in your lovely lounge.

Hi Dear Cindy and what a sweet heart touching post! I'm sorry your mother and mother-in-law are no longer with you. My little mother is almost 88 and I treasure our relationship and thank God for her as she and my daddy raised me before the Lord. My daddy is in heaven now.
It is a wonderful fulfillment in our lives to see our daughters become mothers.
I wish you the most blessed Mother's Day,

Oh, I'm back! What a lovely spot there - the chair with the pretty lamp with that adorable shade. I'll bet you did that! :)
Continue being a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
