~Welcome~

How are you this beautiful Monday, the 13th day of June?
The Summer is fast approaching and I am really looking forward to it, for no reason in particular except that I love Summer weather.  I love long days, the hot sun, the occasional rain storm that we enjoy here on the prairies and the chance to have friends over.
Speaking of friends, this weekend we have had a very dear friend staying at our little cottage.  He is an Evangelist that we met about nine years ago and a year after that we had opportunity to get to know him and his wife at a deeper level.  He entered our lives at a time when we needed a friend, a listening ear, and a word of counsel.  He was "there" for us and we have loved him ever since and he and his precious wife have returned that love.  These kinds of friends are few and far between.  So in celebration of his visit, I made this.

I thought he might appreciate it because he has a family of very creative people.  His wife and married daughter have the Etsy shop EW McCall, where they sell refashioned clothing and pretty hair accessories.

It was a lot of fun to produce and I think I will use it again,  and again, I will just leave off the name.

I'm joining Mod Mix again, over at Mod Vintage Life check out this ladies gorgeous house, if you haven't yet.

I took these photos a few weeks ago, they are so pretty that I want to share them.

This tree is one of my favorites...

...it sits in front of our house and you can see at the back on the left, our apple tree was still flowering when this was taken.  As much as I love Summer, Spring runs a close second.

I hope your day is full of love and laughter!!!

Hello sweet friend...

I came over just as soon as I read your sweet note, dear friend! How are you doing? I do hope that my note finds you and your sweet family all doing well!

Well my dear, if this isn't the sweetest thing that someone could do to welcome a guest into their home! I just love the pretty burlap banner that you created to welcome Tim! Bet he loved it as well! It is the special touches like this that really make someone feel loved and special! You are such a dearheart, Cindy! I am thinking that the Lord blessed Tim with you and your husband's friendship just as much as Tim is a blessing to ya'll!

Thank you for sharing your beautiful "WELCOME" banner with us today! And...as always...I am sooo glad to get another glimpse into your gorgeous home! Thank you!!!

Love ya,
Chari

Cindy, I love summer, too! Many people love fall, but fall is a bittersweet season for me because I know my dear summer is as far away as it can be during fall.

I love your banner. What a warm and unique way to welcome your dear friend.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog. :)

Oh...I love the banner! What a treat to come to your house and be welcomed by it. I liked being able to see the outside of your cottage...it's so cute. Love all the trees. It was 104 degrees here today!!! Its been up towards 100 the last week...but to day was blistering. I don't know if I can live through three months of this. Thanks for linking up to my Mod Mix Monday!
