Sewing

I have been wanting to blog about what I have been working on, but I have lost the desire to blog...have you ever hit that wall?  You have something to blog about you just don't feel like doing it.

Anyways, I am forcing myself to do it tonight.

Last week I made two aprons and fixed a little jean skirt for a friend's daughter.

Here is one of the aprons:

The other one is the same except that the ruffle on the bottom is made out of the polka-dot fabric.  I loved this one, it's probably the nicest apron I have made to date.
It is for a giveaway here at Woman to Woman.

Here is the jean skirt before:

And this is how it looked when I was finished with it:

It ended up a little long, so I will cut off the hem and do another rolled up hem.  I think it turned out really cute.
Well, that's all for today.
It was very hot here today, we broke another record.
I am loving this weather, it's been a hotter and drier than usual summer and it has not hurt my feelings in the least.
The first two summers that we lived here were wetter than usual, so we have really needed this.  The breeze blows all of the time and there is lots of shade here in my lovely neighborhood.

Enjoy the rest of your week, my friends.

Cindy, I miss seeing you on here. I know how you feel though. Somedays one just doesn't have the energy to do it or we need some motivation. I love that apron you made. Very chic. And the jean skirt is really cute with the ruffle and sash. It totally changed the look. You are a good designer. I can't believe it was almost 38 there today!! Wow. You've had the best summer ever. Enjoy the week! Blessings and hugs, Pamela

Hi Cindy! I know what you mean about getting in a blogging slump! I'm kinda tired right now. Well, you could just keep snapping your beautiful kitchen and I'd love it! ;) Your apron is darling! You're such a great seamstress. The blue jean skirt is so cute too!
I pray blessings for you today.
Be a sweetie,

Could be summer time -- I think many are a wee bit tired of blogging ... maybe it reaches a peak or maybe we need rests? Anyway, I sure am happy you decided to show off your aprons for I am partial to aprons and these are delightful! Great work!

Thanks for your visits Cindy. Sometimes it is hard to get an idea or inspiration. I wonder if people are getting tired of my posts sometimes but actually they are like a travel journal to me so fun to do, I love your apron and have plans to make more this Christmas. Everyone i gave them to last year loved them. I'm glad you posted tonight because I'll copy your apron picture and save it for Apron inspiration. Thanks Cindy - I appreciate seeing what you've been busy doing!

Oh, yes, I believe every blogger needs a break now and then. When I am in a slump I spend a few days away from the computer doing all my favorite things --reading, cooking, baking, taking long walks around town, etc Then I usually feel re-charged and full of ideas.

The apron you mad eis very pretty and the skirt is adorable!

The ruffle was definitely a fun addition to the jean skirt along with the belt and the apron is such a nice gift. Learning to sew well is on my bucket list. ...someday. :)

Thank you SOOOO much for fixing the jean skirt up for Bethany! I LOVE the jean skirt just the way it is..but you know teenagers. I don't think you'll need to remove the ruffle? Just take it up a bit? The apron is really cute too. I just started wearing aprons when I'm frying foods. Tired of grease spots on my shirts from splashing grease!

I think it's the heat Cindy...It just sucks all the energy out of you. Well for me it does anyway. When it's too hot I just don't feel up to doing much...:-S At least you had the energy to make the pretty aprons and skirt. They turned out lovely. Hang in there my dear friend. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Much love,
♥Ana
