~More of Fall~

It's Monday, a brand new day!  I hope it is a beautiful one for you.  It is cool here, down to about 7 deg, C, and breezy.  I wore my Winter coat over the weekend because the cold was getting to me.

This is a picture that I found at the Goodwill store and I immediately fell in love with it.  It says, below the picture
Autumn - Quebec
Canadian Pacific
I'm not sure what that means, but I love the gorgeous maple tree that it depicts and the little farm in the background.
I have used it in my Fall decor every year since I've had it.  Quebec is famous for it's maple trees and it's maple syrup, perhaps it is a maple syrup farm, I can imagine that it is, can't I?

I have put my old treadle machine (a curbside find) at that end of the couch, it holds my teacup nicely.
There are two little birds chirping away on a mirrored silver platter, too.  They are as happy as I am that it is Fall.
I am joining Nita over at Mod Vintage Life today, there is some wonderful inspiration to be found over there today.

Have a lovely Autumn day, my friends.

Love that painting! The cool weather sounds great ... here it is up in the mid 80s again (F)-- "record breaking" they say. Hopefully this won't last long. Your house looks so cozy --- we certainly have similar taste in decor. But I never thought about changing pictures on the wall seasonally! Great idea.

Great picture! I'm dying to hit some thrift stores. It's been a while. I did score big at a yard sale last weekend. But I love to browse around in stores. Your cool temps actually gave me a shiver when I read it! That is cold!

Hi Cindy
that is a beautiful picture!
no fall decorating yet for me. Now that the horrible heat wave is over, I am really enjoying the milder weather with everything outside blooming and looking so green.
It will be fall weather here soon and I will decorate then.

We were very close to Dewar this weekend, we drove on the Indian Nations Turnpike when we when to see our parents in TX and AR. Dewar is just a few miles off of it.

Hello my friend! I love that picture! I wonder if it was from a Canadian Pacific hotel or train station. It is perfect for fall. I am also liking the old sewing machine as an end table. It is not bad here with temperatures in the low to mid-teens but it's been very windy so feels cooler. I dress in layers as I'm always cold! Have a great week. Blessings, Pamela

Your picture is perfect. My mom always switched pictures around with the seasons. Such a nice way to get a new look without putting more nails in your walls. :o) Love the round ottoman too. Stay warm.

It's sure nice to do some switches within the house as the seasons change and that lovely fall print is so colourful and would brighten any room. You have a real knack for arranging things Cindy!

Such a cozy room, Cindy. The painting is pretty and I especially like paintings depicting farms. I wonder if the 'Canadian Pacific' refers to the railway. Thanks for your very kind comments on our family room and kitchen. I had fun updating the photos. We are certainly experiencing cooler (and wetter) temps this week here is S.Ontario. I've been wearing my down vests for the drive to work each morning.

I just found your blog and wanted to comment.

It is simply delightful! Are you on the Canadian Pacific coast? I ask because I am on the West Coast of the United States. We are just entering our fall weather. Should be in the mid 70's here tomorrow. Sorry to hear it is so cold there.

Blessings!
Susan

Cindy, your picture is very pretty. I love the brilliant fall colors in it. Your home looks very warm and cozy. How lucky you were to pick up a sewing machine from the street! Don't know why someone would get rid of it. Does it work?----Shannon

I have two beautiful treadle machines..one is used to house a lamp and a plant while the other houses a small TV. Great idea to use your lucky find as a side table!
When I first saw the '7 degrees', I thought, "wow, where in the world do you live??" I forgot, obviously, and had to look at your profile. :) Then I saw the "C" on your post and had to do the conversion thing. Was that your daytime high or no?

I saw your cozy room at Nita's--you've inspired me to move my furniture to take better advantage of our fireplace. Now to inspire those strong manly muscles to help me out, lol!

Hi Cindy...

I'm just coming over from Nita's! As soon as I seen the photo of your fireplace I recognized it as being YOUR living room! Cindy, your home just exudes warmth and love and it's gorgeous on top! Oooh...that really is a beautiful aututmn print! I think that maple trees turn the prettiest during the autumn season. Anyway, it really is beautiful...and you really got me to thinking...about changing out the art for the different seasons (or at least a few pieces)! Ohhh no...you may have created a monster here! Hehe!

Cindy, I love the little round covered ottoman! It's gorgeous! Did you make the slipcover? Well dear friend, just wanted to come by and say hello and see how you are doing. It's very cold here as well. In fact, we had our first snow of the season yesterday. We got about 10 in....eeeks! I don't know what happened to "breaking me in gently"! Hehe! Take care and stay warm, sweet friend!

Love ya,
Chari
