Walking in the Sunshine

I needed to go for a  walk today, but didn't have the desire to actually get outside in the chilly weather.
Finally I got my jacket on, tights on, gloves on and my new infinity Fleece scarf that I made today and I went for a walk.  (Go HERE for the tutorial that I used.  If you can sew a simple seam and a zig-zag seam you can make it, it's so easy.)
And of course, I was so glad that I did!  Go outside, that is.

The leaves are pretty much gone on all of the trees that line our street.

My last photos showed lots of colorful leaves on them, not anymore, I'm afraid.
It's been going below freezing at night, but we haven't had any snow yet, unlike some places in the USA!  It didn't quite hit 50 deg. F (9.5 deg. C) here today.

Our Mountain Ash is growing more colorful still!

I hope your day is colorful and bright!

Warm hugs,

Marissa and Ray, my husband, zip-lining in South Dakota, near Keystone.

Cindy, you look nice in that pretty jacket and scarf. I have never made a scarf that wasn't crocheted but yours looks very easy. I've been saying how fall was just beginning to show it's pretty colors here. Well, it seems like almost overnight the maples and oaks in our backyard have turned colorful. The weather has gotten cooler about 60 degrees daytime temp so I am in a good mood. I enjoy the fall a lot. Your ash tree is beautiful.-------Shannon

You look mauuwwvelous darling. Love all those trees on your street. Here everyone just wants to rip them out. No one seems to appreciated them. I just love a tree lined street like the one I grew up on.

We still have a lot of leaves in the trees. They keep falling but you look up and realize how many still have to fall. Good for you that you took a walk. I stayed in when I got home from work...just too pooped! Have a good weekend...Ann

Cindy
You are dressed so nice for a walk. You wouldn't want to see what I wear while I take my walk!! I bet your scarf is so snuggly next to your skin-I love fleece too.
I would like to try zip-lining. It looks like so much fun.
It was only 7 here today, so you're a little warmer than us.
Take care-Kimberly

Hi Cindy! Oh, that's amazing it's already that cool at your house! You look so cute all warmed up. The scarf is great and I'll have to pop over for the directions! :)
Lovely leaves. It's supposed to cool down a bit tonight. Man, I'm ready for some cooler weather.
Be a sweetie,

Your scarf is very pretty, Cindy. It is beginning to get cold here and I will soon be taking out my scarves and gloves and boots.

Melissa and your husband were brave to go zip lining!

Your Mountain Ash tree is beautiful ! I hope it looks that way fr weeks to come! A chill is in the air here too but we need time to finish combining our barley after a month of breakdowns and rain so we're crossing our fingers the wind will blow and keep the snow away from here. Nice that Marissa doesn't mind you sharing pictures of her on your blog. Our daughter will be working away from her home and not able to make it "home for Christmas" so it will be very different here on the farm. I'm missing her at Christmas already.

Glad that you had the initiative to go for your walk...I'm sure you truly enjoyed it. You do have a charming little street to take your walks. I love it. We have been having alot of beautiful golds and yellows in our trees, which is very unusual and, the fact that we had such a hot summer, it was a also a beautiful gift from Go.

That looks like a cosy scarfe and fairly easy to make. What a pretty street, even without leaves on the trees!
Hope your week-end is going well.

Oh Cindy, such beautiful pictures! I miss the four seasons very much as I'm from NY originally, most of the time (not really)except Xmas I want snow, lol! The weather here is like spring most of the time. How wonderful that Canada has marbles, I love them so we did take advantage of the marbles here too and had our floors and later the tables, we live in this apartment 20 years and the tables are 18 years old! Thank you sweetie for your lovely visit and have a nice week. FABBY
