Did I Hear Someone Say...

...that Christmas is coming!
I have been busy already.  My husband bought me a new sewing machine last weekend and I have one of many projects finished.

I have never had a Kenmore, but I do now and I love it.  It sews like a dream.  Next comes a sewing room!

My first project was a gown for my youngest grand-daughter.

The fabric is so sweet, the polka-dot flannel coordinates with the snowmen fabric on the ruffles.

The snowmen are sitting in little cups that say "hot cocoa" on them, it's so cute.  She is only seven, young enough to enjoy "cute".  One down and five more to go.  A good machine makes sewing projects go so much faster.

I will make pj bottoms for my grandsons out of a coordinating blue fabric and the top for the youngest one will have larger snowmen in cups of cocoa on it.

And I have begun my Christmas decor...

...my Christmas village is coming to life.
My grand-children enjoy my little village.
It has been snowing off and on all day, and "it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!"

Have a lovely day my friends!

Warm hugs,

Cindy, seems as if Santa has come early to your house. That looks like a fine machine. The gown is very cute and will feel so good on a cold night. You will have to show us all the things you make on the new sewing machine. The Christmas village is beautiful especially the church with the stained glass windows. It has finally gotten cold here so I'm getting in the Christmas mood. Gotta do Thanksgiving first, though. Have a nice weekend!---------Shannon

Your little village is a lovely way to start, Cindy. I wish I were more of a seamstress. I'll do some sewing for Christmas but I don't know if I'll tackle anything like that sweet nightgown!

Hi Cindy
I think a new sewing machine is just the best gift ever! I am looking forward to seeing how you use it.
The nightgown is so sweet, I am sure she will be cute as a bug in it.
Kenmore is from Sears? We have a small Sears in our town, recently bought by some friends of ours. We have been buying things there and are very happy with the quality and service.

Wow! That sewing machine looks like it has a lot of bells and whistles. I had promised myself I would sew up seat covers for my dining room chairs by now...and still I have not. Cute little dress. I bet you'll be creating all kinds of pretty things.

You must really enjoy sewing for your Grandchildren Cindy! It's time to use some of those embroidery stitches on your new machine...you must be looking forward to that. I'm sure your cottage will look delightful as you set out all your Christmas decorations. Keep warm! It's -20 here today but still and grey...

Oh Cindy, your sewing machine is great! I had one many years ago and than gave it away to a maide we had and she was so happy! I used to sew little dresses for my little daughters, but now I don't sew for my little grands, oh well. Your gown is adorable, brings me so many sweet memories of times past! I love your Christmas decking sweet lady. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

Oh Cindy,
Cute night gown...and it looks soooo warm too. I've been busy planning my sister-in-law's baby shower for this Monday and next comes cooking and getting ready for Thanksgiving...But right after all that is over I can dedicate all my time to Christmas decorating and Christmas gift making...I think I'll be sewing many of the gifts this year too...I love to give hand made gifts. Any way, good thing you have a good sewing machine to help you...Nothing like a good one to make sewing easier...I still use my Grandmother's old Singer...It sews like a charm...I love it. Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday evening my sweet friend. Sending you a great big warm hug.

Blessings,
♥Ana

Looks like we have both been blessed with a new sewing machine! Beautiful little nite gown you have already whipped up. And I see Christmas has come to you home. Inspired by the snow & sunny crisp weather we had all week I brought out my 'snowmen'. Fun!
