As I was sitting in my living room last night, I took this photo, I love this little corner.

Outside my window, a new day I see,
And only I can determine
What kind of day it will be.
It can be busy and sunny, laughing and gay,
Or boring and cold, unhappy and grey.
My own state of mind is the determining key
For I am the person I let myself be.
I can be thoughtful and do all that I can to help,
Or be selfish and think just of myself.
I can enjoy what I do and make it seem fun,
Or gripe and complain,
And make it hard on someone.

I can be patient with those
Who may not understand
Or belittle and hurt them as much as I can.
But I have faith in myself and believe what I say
And I personally intend to make the best of this day.

Today has not gone according to plan, but I will make the best of it and rejoice!
My God is good to me and He is good to me all of the time!!!

I finished the pj's for my four year old grandson.
See the little tag that I put on the outside of them?

My blogger friend, Rhonda, of If You Do Stuff Stuff Gets Done, sent them to me.  Wasn't that sweet?  Bloggers are the best people in the world, I think!  Thank you, dear Rhonda.

You saw the gown for my grand daughter, that I posted about recently, the fabrics are not matching, but they do correspond to each other.  Such a fun project!  Are you making some of your Christmas gifts?  If so what are you making?

I hope your day is sunny and bright, and if it isn't read the poem above again and set out to make it a happy one!

Warm hugs,

awww, those jammies are so sweet and I love that you could use those thrift store labels with your name on them.

the Today poem is great too. my days are rarely "my own" but if I keep a good attitude about it, they go much better.

Love that poem! And I really love that little cozy corner of yours. You sew like a dream. I always loved to receive hand made gifts from my grandmother. My cousin and I were recently talking about that very thing. We cherished those gifts more than the expensive toys Santa brought us. Your grandchildren will be thrilled!

those "jammies" are so cute! While at a quilt shop over the weekend, my daughters pointed out a really cute flannel fabric with pigs on it and thought they would make cute jammies and lounging pants. So guess what I'm making them and my granddaughters for Christmas? :)

Hi Cindy,
What a beautiful little haven to sit and dream in with a nice cup of tea,my eyes are drawn to the lamp shade and the vase with roses,so pretty.
I adore the poem and it is so true Cindy we can not lose our childhood outlook on life and stop being amazed by little things and choosing to play and be happy instead of letting grown up things drag us down and i love that God is always there for us at the end of the day to hear our troubles and our prayers.
Your sewing is amazing too,the pj's so sweet and the gown is just gorgeous and i love you have your own little tag, very cute.
You know what i have been up to :) xxx

Your cozy corner sure looks 'cozy'. We all crave that feeling for some reason - especially in the winter time!
The poem is a great reminder. To me it says, "do unto others as you would have them do unto you". :)
The PJs and gown are so cute - your grandloves will love them!
