~Hearts Are Showing Up Everywhere!~

I love Valentine's Day, for several reasons, but I have never decorated for the day.  Not that I can remember anyways.

But this year is different somehow.  For one thing I am going through a very creative phase, creative for me anyways.

Let's start in the living room...

...hearts on the fireplace in the form of a small paper banner,  and the mantle...even a couple of little cherubs up there, too.

A heart in the bird cage... hanging from the centre hook, can you see it?

Even in the kitchen...over the window...

...so there it is, hearts showing up everywhere!
Do you decorate for Valentine's Day?

It's a very special day in our family, we have two Valentine's birthdays, how fun is that?  Well, to tell the truth, my brother, the first Valentine's baby, has never thought it was much fun.  But my grand-daughter, the second Valentine's birthday, thinks it's wonderful!

Did you notice that I have a new "I Was Featured" button on the side of my blog?  Two of the challenge bloggers featured me, I am so thrilled!!!  I am reminded again of how important the blogging world has become to me.  Most of my friends and family have never been interested in the fact that I love design and decor.  Only in the blogging world have I found people who are interested in it and I've found many kindred spirits here.  Thank you, my friends!
And special thanks to Karianne of Thistlewood Farms and Linda of It All Started With Paint for featuring my armoire in the Imagine the Impossibilities Challenge.

Have a sweet day!

Cindy

Congratulations for being featured on two design blogs, Cindy. It is a very well deserved honor. Your refinished armoire is beautiful!

I used to decorate quite a bit for Valentine's Day when my children were home, but now all I do is put a heart shaped wreath on my frint door. If my grandchildren lived close by I'd decorate more.

Your bird decorations are also perfect for the Spring season that will be here soon!

You TOTALLY deserved the recognition of being featured, my lovely. Your cupboard redo was FAB!!

I don't usually decorate for Valentine's....no one does in England generally...but I feel myself being drawn in!!

Congratulations on your features! I understand about the joy blogging friends brings. Kindred spirits understand what the heart is saying.

I decorate some for Valentine's Day. Mostly to keep my RB and Emily happy when I take down the Christmas decorations.

I hope your day ends with peace.
Blessings,
Pamela

Is that a real bird in your cage..
I would love to have a bird singing but I would be terrified it might get out... grin...

Don't do any decorating for Valentine's Day, but I think I need to get with it, too. Very cute touches to celebrate the holiday.

I know what you mean about blogging--we seem to "get" each other, and appreciate and encourage each other. A lot of my friends don't get why I blog or really understand why I do.

Nice little decorations for valentines. I just add a touch here and there as well. One thing I like to do is to put heart shaped cookie cutters up in the window so I can see the silhoutte (sp).

I love hearts, all year 'round. When the children were small I always decorated the house - now I'll make a heart shaped cake and we'll eat it all the rest of the week!
I certainly agree with your thoughts on blogging and bloggers - we do get one another!

I have never decorated for Valentines Day either. Anyhow they look cute and must have been fun to make.

You are wayyyyyy ahead of me. I don't have a single thing out yet. I did dig out the box of decorations this morning but that's all the farther I've got.

Your heart banner is just so cute. I'm thinking I need to work in some time to make a banner for myself.

the paper string of hearts is just plain dear! I also love the wreath in the kitchen window. I have not really decorated for valentine's Day this year. I have some hearts beside my front door--as a reminder and some reds and pinks sprinkled around and that is it!

I think I'm going to get the blogger "fail" award for not decorating for Valentine's Day! There's always next year ...

You earned those features...your armoire was wonderful. I think of all your Valentines touches my favorite is the heart banner on your fireplace. It's just so delicate and cute. You mentioned that you might paint your brick if your son can't help you out. I think that's a great idea. It's easy and what a difference it makes. Happy Sunday Cindy!
