Vintage Love

Happy Friday morning!
As you know, those of you who have been following me for some time now, I LOVE ViNtAgE goodies.
They remind me of simpler times, and they have such great color and or patina. This is where I have many of them, here on my old Canadiana dresser.

I love my Siamese cats, old camera and globes. And I adore the big, old frame that my neighbor gave me.  I painted it in turquoise, distressed it and stuck it up there, I think I like it.
This is my latest paint project.  The bathroom will be next, if my husband doesn't have time for my fireplace mantel before then, that is.

Yesterday was a brilliantly sunny day with temps in the 50's F and about 12 C.  Spring has definitely sprung here in Manitoba!

As you can see, I still have a bit of red in here.  I like the sharp contrast of red with creamy white.

I am joining Knick of Time blog hop party, they are having a very fun party over there. Check it out, they have some wonderful giveaways, too!

I hope your day is sunny and bright!

Cindy

Hi Cindy! I love your sweet collection of vintage items on the old dresser. The old frame is pretty in it's new coat of paint. Is that a half birdcage on the wall? So cute! Spring is coming here starting tomorrow. After the 15 or more cm. of snow we got Wed. night I'll be glad to see the sun and warm temperatures. Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs, Pamela

Cindy, can you believe that it is warmer in Manitoba than it is over here?!
I love all your vintage goodies, and this little corner is particularly pretty.

This is so pretty! You did a great job with the frame, and is that half a bird cage it's framing? Love the vintage things. And I notice the pops of aqua in your living room--so nice. Red goes so well with aqua or turquoise too. Have a nice weekend.

I'm taking a break from yard work for a minute. It's already getting hot! But I had to hop over here and see what you were up to. Sure enough, you're still on your high energy redoing streak! Can't wait to see what you do with the bathroom. And I love all those vintage goodies.
Have a great weekend!

You have a way of making everything old new again and it makes me want to create some vignettes with the old treasures I have tucked away. It would be great fun to go shopping with you Cindy!

Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting on those boxes. All of the boxes in that post just sold tonight! I'll be making more as it seems as though people like them. Sometimes we create things not knowing whether or not anyone will take notice. Thanks for your encouragement!

I love the blue open frame on the dresser and your Canada box on top of the white cabinet in the family room. I was born on Canada and would love to get my hands on something like that... where can I find one?? Feel free to email me if you know. marthag86@verizon.net
