My first blog post was in May of 2009, I have blogged for nearly three years now.

The very first photo that I put on my blog.

Words cannot express how blogging, meaning the friends that I have made through my blog, has enriched my life.
You ladies have become some of my best friends.
For the first time in my life I have met a fabulous group of ladies who have the same interests that I have.
Many of you love thrifting, cooking, decorating, sewing, making the most of what you have, fluffing your nest and many of you even have grandchildren.
But the really beautiful thing is that most of you have made Christ the center of your home and lives.

Individually, we have laughed together, cried together, dreamed together, prayed together and sent treasured items through the mail just to say "I really care".

Thank you, dear Sue.

Thank you, darling Silvia for the embroidered runner.
Thank you, sweet Millie.

We have shared heartaches, memories, photos, words of wisdom and encouragement and even little pieces of our hearts.
When someone goes out of their way to do something for me, I'm very touched, in fact I am on the verge of tears.

That's how I felt when Gail of Gail's Decorative Touch
told me that she would send me a lovely turquoise jar that I had commented on. Isn't she a darling? If you have not seen her blog, you need to. This lady is a whirlwind of activity! And I love her pretty home.

Doesn't it fit in perfectly?
Thank you, dear Gail, I appreciate it SO MUCH!

The tag says,
"A Friend, even though we've never met."

Today I want to thank you, my blogging friends, you have filled the empty place in my life, with your friendship, your wit and your love.

I no longer have your comments coming to my in-box, they pile up and overwhelm me, so I can't answer each one of you individually, I hope you understand. But I will do my best to visit your blog and comment there.

With much love and appreciation to each one of my readers and friends,

The blogging world is an amazing over the back fence thing, isn't it? I find myself referencing my blog friends so often...since they are the ones I "see" so frequently and get to see into their lives and homes, their thoughts and ideas on a regular basis.

I will miss the conversation of commenting on your blog but certainly understand your need to turn the comments off--you get so many!

Cindy I couldn't agree with you more-I never imagined the closeness
one would have with blogging friends!
Because I live either in the woods or work at lodge outpost, it's hard to find other Christian friends to fellowship with.
I'm so glad I've found you and so many other wonderful ladies now.
Congrats on your anniversary!

Happy Anniversary, Cindy! I do enjoy your blog...but you already know that!
I was thinking too, how much a blessing it is....fellowship with other women who are fellow believers, love to make a home for their families, sharing the same interests and passions near and dear to our hearts.

Anne said...

Oh I so feel the same way! It's so fabulous to find so many people out there who share our passions, who share their talents, the joy they share from having created such beauty and who enrich our lives in so many ways.

So pleased I met you Cindy!

It really is wonderful isn't it? I have had so much fun with blogging and had reason, as well, to be thankful for the prayers and support of many.
Cindy, there's only so much time - I think that commenting on one another's blogs is a good 'conversation'. Trying to respond to every comment AND then comment on the blogs is too much for me - I think people understand!

Sue said...

I too enjoy your blog, wish you lived next door and enjoy reading all of your friends comments on your blog!
Happy 3rd Anniversary!
xoxo Sue

Thanks for taking the time to comment about my lamp redo. Have you Checked Micheales for the Rusteleom ORB paint? I buy mine there with a coupon, I hope your able to find it, it's great paint.

Love the little blue jar, I found a huge box of them on the side of the road and Mom and I filled them with flowers and gave them to her senior club. They were a big hit, I love to use them as a vase. Lovely gift and I just discovered Gails' blog myself. Congrats to you on 3 years of blogging.

Cindy - congrats on almost 3 years of blogging! I think that's about 20 years in real life!!

You hit the nail on the head with this. I too have made so many great friendships in blogland. We've chatted on the phone and sent gifts as well.

So nice to meet kindred spirits - even if we've never met.
