Easter Monday

Happy Easter Monday!
We had a wonderful weekend with my husband's sister and her husband and sweet little four year old son.  He is such a good little boy, quite the card sometimes.  I made lasagna for our Good Friday dinner and he insisted that he did not want "basagna".  His mom corrected him several times, but it remained "basagna".  I won his heart when I told him I would cook spaghetti noodles for him and he could eat them with dried Parmesan cheese on it.  Thankfully, I knew that he liked it that way.  I guess the way to a boy's heart is through his stomach, too.  Boys are just little men, so that makes sense, doesn't it.

We went to the zoo and saw lots of interesting animals.

We showed them the old Pinawa Dam.

And we just had a really good time.

My sister-in-law and family left Sunday morning and we went off to church to celebrate the risen Savior!  I praise God for the fact that we can be saved and enjoy a relationship with Him.
Did you have a good Easter weekend?  What did you do?  Please tell me!

Hugs, Cindy

aww..he sounds so cute! I could just hear one of my kids saying that. Smart lady to fix spaghetti. Haven't met any kid who didn't love it. Glad you had a great Easter. We did too. Church of course, then an egg hunt. After that we came home and grilled steaks. Yummy! And one more egg hunt in the backyard. Don't know what I'll do when my kids get too old to hunt eggs. Maybe I'll have grandkids by that time! lol
Have a wonderful week!

Your day sounds wonderful. So was ours! My husband is a pastor, so the morning was spent with responsibility for the celebratory service of worship. Then we went home to load our car with our suitcases and food to take to my parents who would have had Easter alone. I'm so glad I went to the extra "trouble". We had a delightful time and then began our trek to North Carolina to spend some vacation time with my brother and sister-in-law.

Travel went smoothly; weather was gorgeous. We arrived and are catching up with our email, etc. at a coffee shop before going to my brother's house....

Of course, we stopped at a thrift store or two on the way here. I will show my "finds" on my thrifty style blog soon :)

HI Cindy! So glad you had a wonderful Easter and I've enjoyed your sweet snaps of your family! That little guy is so cute and sounds like quite a hoot! Now if I had been close by I would have loved to have eaten a plate of your basagne! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Hi Cindy, your nephew is a cutie- and your trip to the zoo sounds like it was lots of fun.

all our children and grands and my DILs parents were here for lunch. 14 in all. Gavin and Elizabeth liked hunting eggs on the front lawn.

Hi Cindy, it sounds like you had an enjoyable weekend with your guests. A visit to the zoo is always interesting and fun. Our weekend was very good and also busy with the Easter drama but we had Saturday and Monday to relax. I hope you have a great week! Hugs, Pamela

I've heard the Winnipeg zoo is a good one. Did you see any musk oxen there?
Your little nephew sure is a cutey.
I bet he loved seeing all of the zoo animals and getting spoiled by his aunt.

Cindy- it all sounds wonderful.
We went to church with some friends (instead of our own church) --it was nice, afterwards we had lunch at our son and daughter in laws home.
The as they say here, 'the bottom fell out!' and it rained hard. We rushed home to put the drenched chicks up under the porch eaves til the rain let up. In the mean time...we took a nap, to the sound of rain falling.
Our daughters both came over later and we visited with them and their families!

have a great week. Pat

Good to hear about your weekend and the cute little fella's basagna... :-)

We did a family dinner......well, ALL of our family... just the four of us. Such an itsy, bitsy family here in the itsy, bitsy cottage.

Hugs to you,

A wonderful way to spend your Easter weekend! You must have had a good time there at the zoo!! I do think that all children love to go to the zoo!
We went to visit our mum on Sunday and had a meal with my brother and sister and their family. And yesterday we bought beautiful little trees to plant in wooden planters my husband made! I will show you later!
Have a wonderful new week Cindy!

It was soooooo good to hear from you, Cindy! I have missed you so much, and I want to thank you for dropping by to visit. I would have been by sooner, but I have to steal, I mean "BORROW" Mr. Magpie's computer when I can.

We are out of town right now, and he is with clients while I'm online. I wanted to be sure and get by here to thank you for your visit. I'm so glad you had a good Easter, and what great pics you've shared. Looks like a fun time, and yes, little boys are little men in the making!

I'm thankful for the Savior right along with you, and I woke up on Easter morning with the thoughts of praising Him first in my mind. We had to travel on Easter so we sang hymns in the car.

Love to you, my friend. Maybe at some point I can get a computer and join the land of blog again. We've had a lot of out of pocket expenses lately, and I'm going to have to put it on the agenda after those. Priorities first.

Miss you!

Looks cold there. We had a wonderful Easter service and then spent time with the family (part of it anyways!) at a beach house. We had such a nice time eating and enjoying the beach atmosphere.
