Vintage Garage Sale Finds

Hello my friends, how has your week been so far?
Are you getting some lovely Spring sunshine, or were you hit with snow again?
Our weather has been fabulous!  Lots of sunshine and temperatures in the low 20's Celsius and low 70's Fahrenheit.
With the beautiful sunny weather comes GARAGE SALES!
I went to three on Saturday and I found some really great vintage treasures.
Take a look.

A wonderful 7-UP box!

I stacked it on top of the other one that I had here.

A sweet dog figurine that is as old as I am...that's getting pretty old!  It was purchased at a gift shop that used to be between the old Eaton's and Bay store in our downtown area in the year 1958.  The lady who sold it to me said that she had purchased it for her mother.

I love to know the story behind my vintage items.

Two vintage readers.

Aren't they adorable?

Did you go to any garage sales?  What did you find?

I'm joining Your Cozy Home.

Have a lovely day, my friends and thanks so much for coming by.  Be sure to leave a comment to let me know you've been here!

Hugs, Cindy

Hi Cindy. Love the vintage 7-Up crate! I think I remember the cover of that first reader "More Friends and Neighbours". Great finds! I'm in Fort McMurray and it's colder again and we had snow overnight but it has melted now. Summer is coming soon! Take care. Hugs,

Great finds Cindy! I love the 7-up crate. I stopped at a few yard sales this past weekend and the only thing that came home with me was a cute little rusty metal chair. Enjoy your day, Gail

No garage sales for me (yet) but you had a great haul! The dog is my favorite. You've reinvented, once again, your spot under the window. Love it. Thanks for your sweet comment. You haven't been missing any posts...I was away for a while. I'm back now and trying to get in the swing of things. Thanks for your friendship!

You really struck gold! The dog figurine is adorable and I think your Town & Country reader may have been one I had as a school child.
I envy your great weather there. But I'm happy for you that you're getting it!

I love the finds. They look right at home in their new places.

We've had some nice weather this past week, some cool morning temps- and some warm afternoons. Typical for Texas!

We went to the Flea this weekend--got a few neat odd and ends. Haven't posted anything yet. Maybe I'll do that!

have a great week Cindy--

The weather where I live has gotten colder in the last few days, but is slowly warming back up.

I like your vintage things, especially your cute dog. I always love seeing old children's books too for the cute illustrations. Too bad they don't really make them (along with may other things) like they used to!

Your hutch with the white dishes is beautiful too Cindy. Thanks for sharing your home with us at my party this week!

Great finds. Just found your blog and now need to look back through your posts.

My husband and I were both born in Manitoba. I was born in Winnipeg and my husband in Rivers. Our fathers were military. Would love to visit someday.

Hi Cindy....I left a message last night but for whatever reason it didn't go through. Thank you very much for stopping by my party this week. I love your old books. I always love the cute illustrations in the old children's books, and am sad they don't make them (and a lot of other things" like they used to. I like your hutch with all the milk glass and pitchers too! Have a great weekend.

I love your books...especially the first one! I have several wooden crates that I have stacked to create shelving for my book collection. I love the simplicity and rustic look. Haven't been to any garage sales yet but hope to hit some before it gets too hot! You scored on this trip for sure. :)

No garage sales yet for me Cindy but can't wait to start hitting some! You came home with some great finds and I love the pretty vignette you created with the dog figurine under the cloche!

Love the vintage books! They're really becoming my favorite things to collect.

I'm not much for garage sales. I usually only go to the ones in my neighborhood as I drive by. I hate getting up super early on a weekend. I'd rather go to the thriftstore!

I love all your vintage finds, Cindy! That red book looks so familiar to me. I wonder if I had it as a kid growing up? Hmm! The cover is so familiar! Looks like you had fun going to the sales.

Have a great day tomorrow!
