Pink Peonies in June

Hello everyone, I hope you had a lovely weekend and relaxed with the Dad in your life.
We have had the stomach flu for seven days now and we are officially DONE with it and ready for it to leave!!! On top of that I am doing respite work for a foster family and it has taken everything that I have in me to keep going. Okay, no more whining.

Are you like me and you LOVE peonies? These are the darker pink ones, my light pink ones are just about ready to open.
We are a bit behind many of you, here in Manitoba. I'm not sure what the other little white blossoms are, but we have lots of them on a vine next to the Lilacs that I showed you earlier. I love the scent of the Peonies, it's a spicy scent that fills my little screened in porch.

The weather has been perfect for spending time here. I haven't gotten around to painting the walls and ceiling yet, our plan is to paint it all white. And leave the wall that it shares with the house itself, the Celeron green that it already is.

I changed things around this year. Almost everything out here was either a garage sale find or a curb side find. It's my Flea Market styled room.

Have a wonderful day, my friends and thanks so much for coming by, your wonderful comments make my day!

I'm sorry you have had the flu in your household and for so long too! Glad you are better now. I love your sunporch. Bloggers keep showing their sunporches and covered verandas and I'm wishing I had one. Oh well, I am thankful for my 2 decks to play with. lol Peonies are just starting to bloom here too. They are beautiful aren't they? Blessings, Pam

Hi Cindy! I'm so sorry to hear y'all have had the flu! Glad you're better but don't over exert yourself. Seems like it takes a while to get your energy back.
Now your peonies are so beautiful! I love the darker pink too! Those little white blooms look like snowdrops but if they grow on a bush I guess they're not! ;)
Love your little sunporch and so glad you can enjoy it.
Thanks always, Cindy, for popping in to see me.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

I like that lampshade! Hey we were sick last week too and our weather was perfect (its usually much hotter) so we recovered on the porch a lot, as it seems you did! Your flowers are gorgeous! Ours are long gone but were a deeper purple this year. Hope you are all better.

Hope your getting better by the minute and on the mend! The 'flea market style room' looks just like it should. Cozy and put together over time. It looks like a great place have a cuppa joe...and do some reading.
I don't have peonies-- but I'm seeing them everywhere in blog world. They must have a wonderful scent; everyone seems to like them. I love the color!

I love it that you bought everything second hand.
It looks like a photo out of 'Flea

good morning, your peonies are just beautiful! I have seen them on another blog or 2 but I don't recall ever actually seeing peonies for real. I will have to look into this since they are so pretty.

7 days of stomach flu-how awful, I can only imagine how drained and weak you must be feeling.
The good thing about being sick though is that you are well again, I just really appreciate how good normal feels.
I pray you and your husband are strong and healthy!

Hi Cindy!
Just found our blog from the comment of another blog. I've added you to follow. I could see from your profile picture that we are kindred spirits. Thanks for sharing your Peonies. Ours are already done. One of my favorites.

So sorry to read that you have had the flu. Hope you are starting to feel much better now.
Peonies are such beautiful flowers. I can't grow them in my garden as it's not cold enough, but they grow them in the Dandenong ranges not far from here.

I hope you're now completely recovered. I like what you're doing with that summer space - it's such fun to have another place to decorate.
