Autumn... You're Still the One

We are still enjoying Autumn, here in Manitoba, it's so pretty. We don't have many trees that turn red, but lots of yellow and gold ones are showing up and showing off.

Of course, my little hutch is ready for Autumn and
I'm really loving the orange with my turquoise walls.
Orange really pops against the pale turquoise.

Isn't this little old table cloth perfect for Fall? I found it years ago at a thrift store in Langley, BC. It sports cocky little roosters and a pumpkin patch. You can't get much more fall-ish than that.

I've been wanting to paint or stain that wooden crate that I got at Michaels a while back. But I am completely undecided as to what I want.
One day I want to paint it dark turquoise, the next day a warm white and then I think it would be pretty in red or just stained a dark walnut... oh dear, what to do, meanwhile it looks rather nondescript, I'm afraid.
Any ideas?

We're still having fun and Autumn, you're still the one that I love best!
I hope you're still enjoying warm fall weather wherever you are, it's back in the 70's here. YAY!

Fall blessings,

Last years Fall look, I think I like this years better.
The walls were still yellow at that time.
In fact, I know I like this years better.

Sooooo pretty Cindy! I love that hutch in your kitchen! Rainy here today, but it was sunny and in the 70's all week.

Your Fall decorations are lovely, Cindy. I think a rich walnut colour would be nice for your crate.
It's Spring here in Melbourne and that means very warm one day, cold with showers and hail the next! I'm happy that the gardens are looking lovely and that Summer is on the way:)
Enjoy the rest of your week-end. Betty

Your fall decor is just lovely. I love fall too ~ so crisp and fresh. Have a great day ;-)

Yes! Autumn for me, too. It's so refreshing after the heat. I wish we could just "freeze" this season in time - but probably wouldn't appreciate it as much if it was all we had....

Your decorations are "perfect" in my opinion :)

Love your autumn look. I must confess to not dressing up the house for autumn but it is my most favourite season (together with winter!) the wonderful thing about paint is, it's so easy to do, so whatever colour you decide to paint it, you can always repaint according to the seasons! Have a lovely week. Sharon xx

Cindy your touches of fall are so pretty! I have one tree in my yard that is so pretty with the beautiful colors of fall. The others are just barely showing signs. Happy Fall my friend, Gail

CIndy, I think they are both cute looks. Your home always looks fun and inviting. I love your nook, and that sign that says River Walk is darling, too.

I'll be sans computer after this weekend, so I was glad to see you posting again. I love to visit here.

Hi Cindy, I do like your walls better now. :) I find any colour goes with aqua, including orange. I love how you decorated your beautiful cabinets. Just sweet. The table cloth is really cute and perfect for fall. Regarding your little wooden tray - you can always repaint it if you don't like the colour. Good old spray paint will do the trick in no time. :) Have a lovely week and I hope your warm weather comes our way. Hugs, Pam

Looks wonderful, Cindy! I am enjoying fall more than usual this year.
I say, paint the crate! Because you can always change the color you paint it. All the colors you have thought of will look good.

Your new blue does make everything pop more, for sure. And I love your vintage cloth-it's one I've never seen before.
I'm glad your still having nice weather there! We are too.

You must really enjoy arranging your lovely vintage treasures as the seasons change. I've been getting ready for company and do enjoy arranging things so much more than the cleaning and scrubbing. But then again it's good to have that done too! Happy Thanksgiving in case I don't get a chance to pop by before then!

Hi Cindy,
Aw...I love your little hutch all decorated and dressed for fall! I love the turquoise with the orange too, very pretty.
I think I would paint your sweet little wooden crate turquoise (yep that's what I would do)
Your table cloth is adorable and I love the red and white checked binding.
We are still having hot days..I want fall to arrive soon.
Sending love and hugs, Elizabeth

Autumn is definitely my favorite time of the year, too! I agree about liking the new look. The touch of turquoise is so subtle and does make things stand out a bit more. :)
I've been thinking of getting something much like your wooden create (maybe a tool caddy?) and distressing it with white paint. Just my two cents ;)

Oh, and we're FINALLY starting to feel like fall around here but they're predicting temps in the 30's and 40's on Saturday with blustery winds and snow in the NW part of our state!! What happened to fall?!?!?!?

I love your pretty room!! It looks comforting and....well.....homey!!
I have a box on my dining table too, and after much pondering, I roughly stained it walnut. I then waxed it with plain old paste wax. It has been the perfect choice...if I want a bit lighter looking background, I just put a remnant of left over fabric or a doily in the bottom and fluffed up over the edges a bit. Hope this helps,
