Hi, I'm so glad you've come by today!
I always enjoy your visit and the sweet comments that you leave.
Recently, I told you that I was making a quilt for my oldest daughter's Christmas gift.
Yes, the one whose home you visited on my last post.
It's finished now, so I want to show it to you.
It's a small lap quilt, meant to be a throw in her living room.
This shows the size of it better.
Hmmm... I really like it, the colours are perfect for my living room, I may have to make one for myself.
My husband has taken his vacation time and we are currently on the road. We're spending the night in Edmonton and will be in Ft. St. John to visit my sister tomorrow.
All of you wonderful people in the Eastern USA and Canada who are in the path of Hurricane Sandy are in our prayers tonight, please stay safe!!!
Hugs, Cindy
A special thanks to Marina for her thoughtfulness, she has awarded me the Versatile Blogger award.
I think all of my friends who visit me each week deserve this, so it goes to YOU.

The Christmas lap quilt is so cozy and cheerful. Your daughter is very fortunate. Another one would be just right for your decor, too. It would be comfy to snuggle under while reading a good book.

You're very smart to get some gifts made this early. I'm sure your daughter will love the Christmas lap quilt. say hello to Fort St John for me. We were stationed there for almost 4 years and I've never been back. my favourite time of year there was the fall. Someday i'd like to visit again.
Safe travels to you. I think your daughter will be very happy with the quilt. My husband says cold weather makes the metal parts in his artificial knee chill his whole leg so he always covers up in cold weather. A lap quilt will be perfect for her.
She must not read your Blog. :)
