Hello my friends, not long ago I posted a few photos of my oldest daughter's home and a few remarked that they'd like to see more.
I have a few for you today.
First a little before and after:
This is what the living room looked like when her and my son-in-law went to see the little 800 sq. ft. home.
It's okay, but I knew once my girl put her stamp on the place it would be very sweet.
Same wall colour, same flooring, but add the white IKEA draperies and some pretty furnishings and it looks very cozy.
The chairs sit in front of the living room window.
A look around the room at some of the details.
Recently, she painted her kitchen, I don't know the name of the paint. If anybody wants to know, I can get it for you.
This little cupboard is on one wall of the kitchen.
It was given to me in exchange for many hours of work in 1988, it was homemade and old then. I painted it white and distressed it back in 1997.
She is like me in that she loves garage sale finds and vintage mis-matched furniture.
And, the accessories in her house are turquoise and red.
That gives me a good feeling, you know "like mother like daughter"?
It looks a little more blue here, but I think she said that it's more grey than blue, in real life.
And in little Miss B's bedroom, she painted the walls Martha Stewart River Mist.
I love the wall words and there's the pretty wall hanging that she made and painted herself. I showed that to you a few months back.
The chest of drawers were a garage sale find.
Their house is grey.
She wanted a door that really made a statement, so she went with yellow. I love it!
I hope you've enjoyed the tour,
have a wonderful week!
Hugs, Cindy

I love the vintage chairs, the color choices, and the personal choices that make this so sweet and unique. Thanks for sharing it with us :)
Your daughter has done a beautiful job decorating their little home. I'd say she has a lot of your decorating 'genes'. :) It is a really sweet home. Thanks for sharing it with us. Hugs, Pam
Her home is lovely! I think she inherits her expertise from you. I love that little cupboard, especially. Thank you both for sharing!
Ohhhh, I loved the tour! Thank you! I think my favorite was the living room. The wall decor above the couch and other touches she added did so much to make it such a homey space. I can really see much of your decorating style in her home.
Thanks again for the tour!
Hugs,
Nancy

Hi Cindy!
Your daughter has wonderful taste. I see where she gets it.
Like they say: "The fruit doesn't fall very far from the tree."
I think I'm in love with her simple living room.
Let me just say this too. 800 sq.ft. isn't that big...but when done right. It's impressive!
...have a great week, and thank you to your daughter for letting us tour. Pat
Your daughter must be influenced by your design sense Cindy. Her home is lovingly decorated and there's no doubt she must have inherited her love of beautiful old treasures from you. How special to share a hobby that enhances your lives. Each treasure finds a special place in your home and in hers.
Isn't it just the sweetest thing to see one's daughter in her own house? Your daughter obviously inheirited your gift for making a beautiful home.
I can really see the similarity to your decorating. Very sweet! I'm so sorry you missed the sale at the thrift store on Sat. That was a long walk!

What a sweet cozy space! I love the warm colors. Thanks for sharing your daughter's beautiful home.
Such a cozy and welcoming place. I love the way she draped the towel over the cabinet door. It's all the little touches that make it so special. Hope you are well...enjoy your Sunday!

Cindy,
What a lovely tour of your daughter's home! She has put her mark on it, and it looks wonderful!
I was trying to think of what to do with my cakestand/cloche, but now she has given me a great idea! It doesn't have to be just a cakestand, relegated to kitchen area.
What a beautiful home!
Your daughter's home is lovely and she obviously enjoys decorating it. I especially like the leggy table in front of the window and the great cupboard you distressed.
Hi Cindy,
Your daughter has done an amazing job here...the red & turquoise with the pink is a winning combination and I do definitely see that the apple has not fallen far from the tree. And her living room has such a great balance of soft and tailored...the ruffled pillows are perfect here on the soft side and I love the dark strong frames on the B & W photos for emphasis...they look like they are black...but they are so perfect to contrast the tans, creams and whites. Beautiful and inviting home. Your daughter is sure to be pleased with the beautiful red and white quilt and I agree it looks great at your house too. Safe travels and enjoy the season.
Best,
Jermaine
