Knock Off Pottery Barn Pillows

While I was at my daughter's house in November, she had a project for us to do together.
We made knock off Pottery Barn pillows.
She had red velvet and white felted wool for us to work with.
What do you think?

Then she purchased silver bells to go in the centre.
I love them!
They are a beautiful pop of colour on my white chairs.

I purchased extra red velvet, just in case I was inspired to make a third pillow and sure enough, I was!
My sweet friend Ana of A Petite Cottage, made herself a deer pillow and it was so lovely that I knew I would have to make one too.
Thank you, dear Ana for inspiring me so! Take a look at hers, it's beautiful.

Time is passing swiftly and I feel like I am slogging through mud!
I haven't sent off ONE Christmas card, normally I would have them all done by the end of November.
And I have not sent off my Christmas packages yet, either.
I'm embarrassed to say that, but it's the truth.
Do you send off Christmas cards? So many people don't anymore, but it's one thing that I try to do.
I think I will have to cut back this year.

I'm hoping that I can accomplish some of it today, though.
Have a wonderful week!

Hugs, Cindy

Oh Cindy, I love your pillow! It looks beautiful against your white chair. Don't feel bad....I haven't done my Christmas cards yet either. It's on my list of things to do this week. Hope you have a wonderful day, Gail

Very nice craft projects.

I'm afraid I haven't put together my gifts yet but I did buy the foundation of them last summer. It won't take long to put it together and wrap.

I am one who likes to send mailed Christmas cards but cut down a lot the last few years and this year I only sent one. I have a few that I hand deliver.

Enjoy your lead up to Christmas.

Hey Cindy~ I l o v e that pillow, though I haven't seen it at PB, not that I go there, but didn't notice in the catalog either. But what a beautiful pop of color! Don't worry about your cards--whenever they get there people will appreciate them. It's the staying in touch, whenever it happens, that is important! Don't work too hard! (I'm working on ours today too).

I. Absolutely. Adore. That. Pillow. The white shines so bright against the red velvet background.

And no, I really don't send cards to speak of. I have a small bundle ready to address and send when/as I receive some from a distance. But I don't initiate the sending. (Does that make sense?)

Those pillows are beautiful! Yes, I always send Christmas cards, but this year because of our move and all of the painting, I might send out New Years cards instead.

Thanks for stopping in and commenting on my dining room!

Beautiful holiday pillows, Cindy!
Yes, I send cards, but haven't sent one yet!!! And, I haven't shipped any packages either. Time is going by much too quickly-I'm not ready for Christmas! And, my son's birthday is next week-no idea what to get him for that or Christmas. My daughter hasn't made any requests either. Guess that's why I'm not done :)
Hope your having a productive week!

These are just gorgeous pillows Cindy! Wow. You are so talented. They really stand out on your white furniture. I just did my cards today. I am so behind too and usually do them at the first of December. They'll arrive late but that's okay. I always enjoy getting them in the mail after Christmas too. I have to do a lot of shopping too so will hit the city tomorrow. I hope I have some inspiration! I'm such a procrastinator sometimes but I'll get it done by the 24th! Hugs, Pamela

Your pillows are beautiful, Cindy! I love their red and white colors and winter themes.

I do send Christmas cards every year --I enjoy receiving them, especially when they include a photo or personal note or letter. I make photo cards every year at Costco -- they are inexpensive to make and become a record of our Christmas. This year I will include a note with our new address as of January! It will be here soon!

That pillow is amazing---it is just gorgeous especially with that chair.

I did send out some cards, but I have cut back on the amount. My husband actually beat me --he sent out some before I did this year!

Those pillows are gorgeous Cindy! **LOVE THEM**!! I just sent my Christmas cards today...it is one tradtion that I will never give up! I love getting and receiving cards in the mail. I mailed off 80 cards today to all across Canada and the US to family & friends, and our cards always include a pic of the kids and a yearly letter of news from us. I just mailed off the last of my packages yesterday today. I mailed packages from Edmonton to NB and NS, so it feels good to get those gone off! Angie xo

Adorable!!! Yes, you should make the deer pillow. You can do it ;)
I haven't sent out Christmas cards in a few years but I am doing so this year. Usually just to family members and a few close friends. In the past, I always sent them out the week before Christmas and looks like I'll be doing the same now. LOL

those pillows are just beautiful. You and your daughter have such good taste.
I love that she had a project for you to do together.
My mom had 2 sisters and whenever we would visit Aunt Bernice for a weekend, she would have a craft for us- I remember mushroom shaped candles, tiny fabric scraps glued to Easter eggs to make them look patchwork, fabric flowers- such good memories!

I am so behind on Christmas doings this year too. It has just been an odd year for us but I am going to try and get caught up soon.

Merry Christmas to you, my friend.

Good job as always on those pillows - they're lovely.

Don't feel bad I haven't sent off one Christmas card either. We decided a few years ago to spread it all out and send New Years cards instead.

Good question about sending Christmas cards. My answer? Not this year. I make my cards and then have them printed. Put a personal message on each one, lick the envelopes shut and off they go. Get giddy with the thought of receiving some in return only to realize that I must have become a "dinosaur" while I wasn't looking. Maybe three last year did I receive. Not bitter but feel that perhaps not every year will I do it. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!! LOL By the way, I am your newest follower. Love reading about what you do!
Hop on by mine when you get the chance.. would love to have you over for a cup of tea and a chat!
