Apple Blossoms in May

Hello my friends,

I hope this finds you all well and enjoying the Spring weather.

It has been so Summer-like here in the past couple of weeks that it's hard to believe that it is still May.

Our Ladies Conference went very well. I am on the committee this year, so it was a new experience for me to MC one of the services and to be on hand at all times.  Our ladies president is a wonderful Godly woman and the other committee member is none other than my dear Pastor's wife, so they are a wonderful couple of gals to work with.

The ladies on the front row on the far left are my pastor's wife then the Ladies president, our speaker Aurelia Hopkins and then an x-missionary who lives in Western Ontario, Elsie Lund, then me, in the green. The other ladies are from our church and our church's daughter work. It was a very fun time.

Our youngest girl, Marissa, is with us for a few weeks before she is off to her job in Northern Manitoba.

She will be working at North Haven Resort on Utik Lake   that caters to wealthy Americans, mostly. It's a fly-in only resort.
 

She's taking it easy and enjoying life for a few weeks. She will be working seven days a week for the few months that she's there, so she is enjoying her days off now.

We have been going on long walks every day, it's been wonderful having her here. She is a darling girl, I love her so much. I will miss her laughter and her presence when she's gone.

Our crab-apple tree is in full bloom, it smells divine! Oh how I wish it could look like this all summer.

Our apple tree is also blossoming and my hubby mowed the lawn for the first time yesterday. I love how lush it is. Of course the weeds are trying to take over, but he's pretty diligent about removing them. I see some broad-leaf there in the photo that we missed.

There is truly nothing prettier than blossoms.

This one is the apple tree, so beautiful!!! I really hope that it produces some good apples this year. Last year they turned rotten before they fell off of the tree. Perhaps they did not get enough water, it was a very dry summer.

I took this one at about 8 a.m., you can see the sun in the upper right corner.

I leave in just over two days, I will be popping in to visit occasionally while I'm gone, but I have a feeling that I will be pretty busy.

A woman devoted to mothering is a rare and precious gem, imho.

Spring Has Sprung

Spring has sprung...

...the grass is green.

 I still don't know where the flowers are.

My Mountain Ash in the front of our house is beginning to bud, though.

 It's a grey day, but the colors are just that much more brilliant against the back ground.

I'm taking you on my walk today along the street that runs parallel to the Red River and then along the walkway through the park that runs along the river.

I never get tired of seeing these sights. I appreciate the order of the cut grass and the walkway, it's nature, yet in a very controlled way.

 I love how green everything is, I revel in it's beauty!

I offer you lots of photos today, I want you to feel the beauty of the green that I enjoy so much.

The flowers aren't up yet, they take their time here in Manitoba. But once they are set to bloom, every yard is filled with beautiful colour.

These are the first Spring outdoor photos that I've shown this year, so far. 

I will be gone most of the next month, Our youngest daughter is here for a few weeks before she goes to her job on a remote lake in northern Manitoba. Starting in two days, I have a ladies Conference to attend and help with, I'm the registrar. 

A week after that, I will fly to the west coast and visit my oldest brother (whom I have not seen for four years) and his wife for a few days. I hope to meet up with a couple of bloggers that I have met through their blogs. I am so excited to meet Melissa and Pamela. It won't be long now!!!

Then I have a wedding to go to and a mini-family reunion.

After that I will visit with my oldest daughter and her sweet family, storing up all the hugs and kisses that I possibly can.

So if you don't see me post much in the next month, don't give up on me...I will be ba-a-a-a-ack!!!
