Happy New Year to all of you!
This is my first post for 2013.
It seems like it was only yesterday that I said that about 2012.
Did you have a nice Christmas and vacation time?
We did.
I have removed all of the Christmas decor and have gone back to neutral with red as the accent.
When a room is as small as this one, it's easy for it to look cluttered.
I decorated yesterday, took a photo of it and realized that it looked far too cluttered.
A calm feeling in my home is important.
That's a little better, for a while anyway.
Do you see the cute little pegs in the glass pitcher?
Those came from Pat's etsy shop over at Corn in my Coffee Pot . She has some very nice vintage items for sale. And she threw in a cute little dish mop that she had crocheted. Thanks Pat, you're a sweetie.
I want to put together a post featuring all of last year's projects, and there are a lot.
I will work on that for next week.
Until then, have a wonderful weekend, my friends.
Thank you so much for your visit and the sweet comments that you leave.
I will talk to you next week.
Hugs, Cindy
I have recently met a couple of my neighbours who walk for an hour every day in our neighbourhood.
This is what it looked like this morning, beautiful, don't you think?

Hi Cindy. Yes, it's hard to believe we are well into the first week of a new year. I love your cozy living room. The suitcase on top of the table is perfect to bring the height of the table up to the arm of the chair. And it's a beautiful colour too! I hope you have a lovely weekend and stay warm. Hugs, Pamela
Time does seem to be flying doesn't it! Love your cozy room Cindy...HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Blessings,
Cindy
That snowy path is perfect. Like a Christmas card. I love your red and white. My fave. We left a lot of blank space after the tree came down too. Love it after the busy holidays. Happy New Year!
Your room looks pretty! I love the vignette on the trunk.
I like it! It looks sweet and valentine-ish. I am going to try to get mine done this weekend. New baby has me a little behind, but he is worth it!
What a lovely room, my darling friend. No, really it doesnt't seem too cluttered, cozy and welcoming, instead! I love the vignette on the coffee table.
In Italy usually we remove our Christmas decor on 7th of january, after Befana has come, and so will do I.
A marvelous new year to you my darling friend!
Silvia

Happy new year darling...love from me...xxx...
Happy New Year Cindy. I think walking with some neighbours is a wonderful way to get some exercise - and especially on such a bright sunny day. I think you hit just the right note in your living room of pretty, but calm.
Happy new year Cindy. Your winter decor looks lovely, as does your snow!
Happy New Year, Cindy! I think you've definitely achieved that "calm" effect that you seek in your "small" room :)
I'm always soothed by a visit to your blog.

It looks lovely, dear lady.. Wish mine looked as well.. Next week perhaps.. So pretty even if it is cold, eh? God bless..
Your photos make a snowy winter look appealing - but in reality, I like my rainy winters!
I love the pops of red with your white!
Hi Cindy,
Happy new year! I hope you and your family had a very blessed Christmas.
Your room looks very cozy and inviting. A nice place to snuggle with a good book on a cold winter's day!
Hugs,
Nancy
Your pops of red are perfect for a snowy winter. Very cozy too. I took all my decorations down but haven't done anything else. I need to fluff a bit. :o) Keep warm and have a lovely Sunday!
As always, it's a pleasure to see the changes you make to your cosy living room.
I love the 'post-card' snowy scene:)
Happy New Year Cindy!
LOVE your new header!
It is funny how taking a picture of a room can show you the good points as well as flaws you do not notice in real life; I wonder why that is? Sometimes I actually like something, but the photos I do not like (in regards to my home)--ah well
Thanks for linking to that Etsy store! I've already spotted a few things I like! I like the red accents you have in your home, too. :)

It's so lovely there, Cindy! Isn't it funny how taking a photograph of an room, makes you see it through new eyes? I love the cozy calm of your home!
Your house looks so cozy. I've enjoyed your outdoor photos too. Just can't imagine all that snow. It sure is beautiful. Posted a couple of pics of my house on the blog today. Hoping to hurry up and get some more up but still working on things. It's a snail's pace I tell ya!
I so know what you mean about clutter getting you down! I've been noticing that about my house too. Time to clear out and re-do!! My spring garage sale is going to be a doozy this year!!
