Everything is still so very white outside.
Every day the sun shines brightly and I look out to see icicles drip, drip, dripping...
And inside I'm craving colour.
Bright red, turquoise, purple and even yellow.

This very colourful afghan is one that my aunt croqueted many years ago.
She made it for my mother and I ended up with it when my dear mom passed away.
I love the pop of colour that it adds.
It makes me smile every time I look at it.

Sue, a blog friend, made the darling little tea cozy.
Tea is an important ingredient in helping one get through a long winter.
And, it's been a very long winter.

Red is so very cheerful and who doesn't need a little cheer.

Colour continues in the living room and even further.

I hope you are surrounding yourself with things that make you feel good, it's important my friend.

What have you done to help you get through the winter?

Thanks so much for coming by and leaving me a word of cheer.
I really appreciate you!

Have a good weekend.

Hi Cindy! I love your pops of bright colour in your home. I am trying to get out some spring things even though we have all the snow outside. I need some colour and pastels. Spring isn't too far away and then Easter! We are snowed in today so I think I'll go clear the back deck so I can feed the hungry birds. Have a lovely weekend! Hugs, Pamela

Pops of color are cheering, aren't they?!
What have I been doing to brighten up winter?....Nothing, really, just decided to resign myself and savor time. But I am hearing the birds singing in the morning, and they always start that up more as spring approaches, and I notice the days are longer!
But of course, PA winters aren't as wintry as yours are.
Loved your comment on the tortillas. It made me laugh. My strong suit is taste, not presentation, so much so that I have a new pinterest board entitled Prettying Up The Presentation! LOL.

Love all the color...that tea cozy is too cute! Love that turquoise lamp too. I'm getting through winter by thinking about all I want to do in the yard outside. I'm also thinking of all the things I'm going to paint. I'm having a very good winter.

I love that afghan that you shared Cindy! The colours are fabulous! And that tea cosy is just darling. My grandmother made each of the grandkids an afghan years ago before she died. Mine is a combo of blue and it's in my bedroom. I would love to knit/crochet something for my kids. Wishing you a wonderful weekend! Angie xo

Lovely pieces and pops of colour. The afghan your aunt stitched is so pretty and cheerful. It too have been craving colour and adding more fun blues into our home. It helps with all the white from two recent snowstorms.

Your house is so pretty, Cindy!

I love that tea cozy and that blue lamp. The crochet afghan reminds me of my childhood. My mother was constantly making them as gifts. Great memories I am sure.

Hi Cindy, Nice to catch up with your posts after my long break. These pops of color are so cheerful. Mary, an elderly friend I am staying with during her extended illness, crocheted all of her life. The afghans are truly a gift of love! Your tea cozy is so sweet, too.
Wishing you a nice week. Mildred
