Hello my friends,
I have not been around much lately, I've been in the sewing room.
And I'm very glad to say that the slipcovers for my parson chairs are done!
This is the before with the dark brown leather showing.
Take a look at what it looks like now!
Light and bright is how I would describe them now.
I put a linen seat on them.
I didn't have quite enough of the floral fabric,
so... I used a linen fabric that I have had for several years.
I got it for free, it was a real pinky beige.
After being bleached several times, they looked like this.
I love looking at them.
They are really nice in that bright and sunny room.
I also made a skirt for little Miss B.
And I spent several days searching for fabric for my sister's "Mother of the Bride" dress.
I did find it, thank the Lord!
I'll start on that next week.
Ladies Conference is this week and I'm on the committee.
Therefore I will be gone for several days.
Enjoy your week and thank you so much for coming by and leaving a sweet comment.
Hugs, Cindy
Ah yes, I like them!

Hope you have a nice time at your convention.
Great job on the chairs, they are kind of retro looking but also very now looking too. May you have many pleasant meals in your new room.
They are really beautiful Cindy. You did a fabulous job on them and I really love the fun and bright print. It makes all the difference to have that nice colour rather than the dark brown in your sunroom. I hope your conference goes well and you enjoy the time of fellowship. Hugs, Pam
What a huge difference! Your room looks like it's smiling now!
Great choice of fabric.
Have a wonderful week xox
Love your slipcovers. They looks so fresh and pretty. I bet a big turquoise plate or bowl in the middle of the table would look amazing too.
Like them??? Girl, I love them! You did a great job, Cindy, and I think they are soooooo cute! Very cheery and cute.
If you don't mind me asking, what color is the yellow on your walls in that room? i am debating about painting ours yellow, and every time I see them, I want them. The stager paiinted them a neutral, but I love yellow and find it so cute!
I see your walls and go NEAT!
XO,
Sheila
I also love that skirt! It's cute as can be, too! xoxox
Wow! They are wonderful, Cindy! And they brighten the room and make it so sunny and cheerful! What a great job you did. Do you want to come and do some for me? Hope you have a good week at your conference.
OH Cindy...the slipcovers are WONDERFUL! You did a beautiful job selecting fabric and sewing!
I do like the chair covers, and I am so glad you found just the right lace.
Oh how pretty!
that room looks so bright and cheerful ...Sunny! compared to that snow outside on the ground still!
good idea to used the bleached linen.
The skirt is cute too.
Now, I must say... I love that last picture with the doors ajar. You photos looks so wonderful.
I'd like to take photos like that...but even when I'm focusing my camera on a certain subject...the rest of the room gets in the way! I must have a global eye... or whatever it's called, I just made that up, but I see the whole room at once. Not the point of view I'm looking for.
Anyway, I love your dining room, what a difference.
...I ramble, have a great week, Pat
