Spring Has Sprung and the Blossoms Are Out

Spring has sprung,
The grass is green,
Where have all
The flowers been?

Read it again and pronounce "been" the way you pronounce "bean".
Now you're talking "Canadian".
But the poem makes sense now,
doesn't it.
Bean and spring rhyme.

Can you see the blossoms on the crabapple tree?

Now further away...

The irises are up, unfortunately, the weeds are too... it's always a battle to keep them at bay.

I don't remember ever being so excited to see my flower garden coming up,

...it's due to the lo-o-o-o-o-ng old winter, I think.

That is the sunporch that I wrote about in the post before this one.
Our house was built in 1926 and it is still pretty true to that era.
That is the reason my vintage/flea market style works so well in my home.

If you're new here and you want to see what the inside looks like, take a look at my sidebar.
I have put links to my living room, dining room and kitchen there.

Thank you once again for coming by and thank you SO very much for ALL of the delightful comments!
They are always heart warming, but recently your show of support has nearly overwhelmed me.
I appreciate them so very, very much.
Have a wonderful day and I hope the sun is shining on you today!!!

Cindy

Oh, Cindy - I'm happy that spring is finding you! Everything looks so green... I hope your irises do as well as ours this year. I can't remember when I've had so many flowers :)

I can absolutely understand how you feel darling! Finally the sun is shining here too since a couple of days and we passed from 9°C to 25°C in two days. I adore this blue sky!
Your garden is so green and lovely... I should send you some rose =D

Your home and yard are lovely, Cindy. Yes, after your long snowy winter, I know spring is very welcome.

Winter seemed long and overdrawn here too but probably not as long as yours. Your yard looks so nice. Funny how the weeds grow at a faster rate then the flowers :) Happy Spring!!

Beautiful greens. It looks like the garden is coming up quickly. It always surprises me when things seem to sprout up almost overnight. Have a lovely week!

I have been running out to my garden all day to look it over. Now that we finally had a break in the rain. I completely understand.

Spring has Sprung here too and my irises and lilacs are close to blooming. I took a look back to see what i'd missed while i've been enjoying being outside in my spare time and I'm so glad I did. Your Mother of the Bride dress is exquisite and your sister will be so thrilled that you made her such a beautiful dress to wear to her daughter's wedding. Lovely handiwork!

So pretty! We had 6 inches of snow last Thursday. Hope it isn't headed your way...

but it didn't kill anything, not even the bedding plants that I had put in only 2 days before!

Enjoy your lovely yard :)

I think that there is no appreciation for spring and the blossoms it brings like the appreciation of someone who has come through a long, cold winter.
