~Yummy Turquoise~

Hello my friends,

In the cold months red is the perfect colour to warm up a room.
But now that warm weather is here, I am using more turquoise than red.
Recently I have been gifted with several turquoise lovelies.

My sis-in-law made this for me.
Those of you who quilt can appreciate the work that went into it.

I use it on my foot stool though, because I could not bear to get it dirty.

For Mother's Day my two younger girls gave me two very sweet coffee cups and saucers.

Mmmm... French roast!

Lights off...

...lights on.

I thought they looked nice under the cloche.

And I made new pillows to match the dining room chair slipcovers.

You gotta love turquoise!

Thank you dear Robin of "Happy At Home", for helping me with my banner.
Check out her beautiful blog!

Have a wonderful day and be sure to go play in the sunshine!

Hi Cindy! Oh, that is a work of art - I've never seen anything like it! I wonder if you could hang it on the wall? The little cups are so sweet. Love that color and you know how I love the builtins in your kitchen! I love seeing it as often as you'll show it to us. Hope you're doing well.
be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Hi Cindy, Very nice work quilt, for me is an art, not all know or have that grace! Color cups turquoise stones, you have received from your princess, are very nice, a great addition to your kitchen, between the turquoise white or cream interrupted with elegance! Here where we live all year round summer weather, but the seasons each has "something" that is felt in the atmosfere , in the environment, people do different activities so we can locate in time and space! Hug ! Rose Marie

Your new header is gorgeous and I am not a quilter but looking at what she made you it is obvious how difficult that was. So pretty.

I noticed your new banner photos and they look great! Love the summer touches of turquoise. I wish I had white or ivory furniture so I could bring in more aqua. :( Your quilt work piece is beautiful and a lot of work I'm sure. Have a super day Cindy! Hugs, Pam

Since vacationing in Arizona this past February I've taken a liking to turquoise too. Love the cloche idea. Did you make your white slipcovers? I really like the pleated bottom. I am seriously thinking of putting slipcovers on my living room furniture but I have no clue what I'm doing. Any tips would be appreciated. -Susie

The quilt is a work of the heart and your sister-in-law has blessed you with a lovely piece. Turquoise is such a calming and relaxing colour...a cup of great coffee in such a cup and saucer would be a treat (especially if it accompanied the rhubarb and strawberry dessert)! The pretty pillow you made adds charming colour to the chair and makes it inviting too...just like the rest of your home!

Wow, I can only imagine the work that went into your special gift from your SIL!
I love all your turquoise. I can't wait to use it in my new kitchen too.
The girls knew just what their Mom would love, didn't they?

I love your new blog header, Cindy! I think I also need help in that department, as I never can seem to make my header photo wide enough or make a horizontal trio collage. I'll have ti check out Robin's blog.

Your sister-in-law's quilt gift is so unique and absolutely beautiful, as well as your new tea cups and saucers! Turquoise is a wonderful color for summer as it is so cool and refreshing looking.

Hi Cindy, I agree with you, red is a great colour to warm up a room in winter, but once summer hits, red is almost too warm, turquoise is a great choice, reminds me of the seaside! Love those vintage tea cups! Have a great weekend!

Hello, Cindy!
Your home looks lovely as ever and so cheerful.
that quilted runner looks like a difficult pattern. I love how you decided to display it. The pillow in your chair is also bright and cheerful. We're enjoying the weather here as much as we can...seems like there is more work to be done in the spring time!

take care and have a blessed week.
