More Vintage Love

Hello my friends,
I'm a bit late in getting this done,
you see we had ourselves a little holiday this weekend.
We drove to Fargo, ND, which is about four hours from Winnipeg.
We shopped new stores, we visited thrift stores, antique malls and even took a little boat trip down the Red River.
Very fun!
But it was blazing HOT!
About 100 degrees F people!

While in Fargo I found lots of vintage items that I had been searching for.
I bought only a few, the search is half the fun.
I wanted a few vintage kitchen utensils and we found lots, I was picky and brought these few home with me.

I am loving the bright pop of colour they provide.
I will leave them in the old jars with the zinc rims until I find a better place for them.

A few days before we left, I was in a small thrift store in Lorette, Manitoba and found a paint by number print.

Isn't she adorable?
I am loving my vintage items, they are colourful and they each have a history, a story to tell.

Have you found anything fun lately?
Do tell!

I am joining Cindy @ Dwellings~ The Heart of Your Home for Amaze Me Monday.

Thank you so much for coming by!

Oh and I found my old vintage toaster and put it up on the far top right hand side of the shelves.

Great finds Cindy! It is always fun visiting shops and finding treasures and you had lots of luck! Your paint by number is so sweet!

Oh Cindy I love your finds, they're so sweet and pretty, just what I like for your charming and warm kitchen! Big hugs,

You're right, the search is half the fun! I love how you are displaying your vintage kitchen utensils in the jars. Before packing mine away, I had them hanging on the wall above the kitchen pantry. When I'm able to get mine out again, I may display some in jars like you. Cute idea!!

I love that sweet paint by numbers. I have a vintage painting I'm going to show soon that a Mod Vintage Life reader sent me. It's of two dachshunds and it's very sweet. I don't have any other vintage things but I did drag home an outdoor papasan chair from work that needed a little help. It will be used in my backyard after I get one more thing I need for it. My backyard is taking on a decidedly bohemian vibe. I didn't really intend on....but you work with what you can get cheaply.

I used to go to flea markets every weekend....I need to do that again...not that I need a thing.

Cindy, you found some real treasures! That toaster is great. My latest find was some old crocheted doilies, similar to yours. Wishing you a nice day.

I am loving the sweet vintage things you're finding to add to your kitchen. We had a toaster like that but threw it away!! I have no place to display one but to 'have' one would be cool. The paint by number is sweet. I'm glad you got away for a little vacation. It sounds like you had fun even with the heat. Hugs, Pam

Looks so lovely Cindy, all the pops of red...I love how it's all looking. I've bought three vintage china cups with saucers and a cake plate, one I gave away as a present and the other two I've kept! Happy week for you! Sharon x

I'd say being choosey pays off.
Your untensils work so nicely with your whole vignette.
And what a sweet picture!

HI Cindy! Oh, I'm so glad you had such a nice little few days off. Your finds are darling with the red handles. I've been looking for some too, but most I find are so rusty. I just don't like rust! :) Those crocheted pot holders are so pretty. I think my grandmother had some of those.
Thanks for popping in and your area in your kitchen looks fabulous.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

So glad that you were able to have a short break away, even if it was hot!
You brought back some treasures. They look so pretty on your dresser. Wouldn't it be interesting to know their history?
Keep cool. It's starting to feel a little like Spring here.
Happy days,

Your kitchen really has a vintage vibe now...the red suits it well. Although we have been in Fargo many, many times we have never taken a river boat trip, nor visited an Antique Mall. I usually head first to Hobby Lobby. Did you go there?

Just when I don't think your home can get any cuter, it does. :)

Your home is darling.
