Miracles DO Still Happen!

We witnessed a miracle that took place right in front of our eyes yesterday.
Ray, my husband, was driving to work and I was going with him so I could have the car.
We were stopped at a red light when we saw a young woman running across three lanes of traffic, directly in front of us.
She had two children with her. She had one by the hand and the other one was following behind her.
The one following her was a girl about 6 years of age, I'm guessing.
The woman could see that two lanes were stopped for the light, but what she could not see was that a van was racing down the outer lane.
But my husband could see it in his rear-view mirrors!

Ray shouted and honked for her to stop but she continued and just as I saw what he was shouting about I screamed at the top of my lungs "JESUS HELP THEM!"
The mom and first child got across with no problem, which is a miracle in itself, but the little girl was directly in the path of the van.
I remember seeing her fall to her knees and her little knees were about to be crushed by the wheel of the van...
but suddenly she bounced backwards and then she jumped up quickly.

By then Ray was out of the car and had her in his arms and gingerly carried her across to the sidewalk.
I did not see the angel, but I have NO doubt that there was an angel there that protected them, because the name of JESUS had been called on.
The paramedics arrived and soon after it, the ambulance, but she walked to the ambulance and she was taken to hospital.
I continue to pray for them, only God knows the rest of the story.

I don't usually talk about my faith on my blog, but, my friends, I felt like I needed to tell this story.
The word of God is clear about the power that is in the name of Jesus.
And it's also clear about the use of that name and who has the privilege of using it.
Not everyone does.
I'm so very grateful to the Lord for His protective hand that day.
All I could think and say afterward was "Thank you, thank you, thank you, Jesus".

I'm sure some of you have witnessed miracles such as this.
It's terrifying, but oh so wonderful to know the power that is in the name of JESUS!
It pays to read the word of God and stay on speaking terms with our sweet Lord, doesn't it.
Have a wonderful weekend and I pray that all of you know Jesus as the lover of your soul.

All of the above photos were taken down by the Red River that runs not far from our house.
The first one was taken at 3:30 in the afternoon yesterday.
I could not resist documenting, in photos, the setting of the sun a few days ago.
Unfortunately, they are not in correct sequence.

Wow! Cindy, I slapped my hand over my mouth as I was reading, waiting to see what happened. Praise the Lord for angels of protection. (My nephew, who was only about 2-3 years old at the time, came inside his mom's house one day, soaking wet. He had climbed into the pool, which was over his head. His mom, who had no idea that he was even near the pool, asked him how he got out and he said "that man got me out"... to this day, we don't know who that man was!! We like to think it was an angel that only that little fellow could see)

This is such a heartwarming story. God is Good.. I will never forget on the news one day there was a story about neighborhood that had caught fire. A Lady from work knew here house was in that neighborhood. From work she sent a Fax to her home asking the lord to protect her home. When they let them back in the neighborhood her house stood not touched by the fire. The only one on her block not burned down. Coincidence I don't think so.

Your photos are beautiful.

Hugs~

"There's power in the name, power in the name, power in the name of Jesus. . . " The day of miracles is not passed. Thanks for sharing this wonderful story of God's protection and care. The 18-year-old son of friends was duck hunting with a couple of friends. Waded out into the water to retrieve a duck, got in suddenly over his head, was under water for 5 minutes, was in full cardiac arrest with virtually no hope of recovery and certainly with no brain damage when he arrived at the hospital 3 hours later. He is alive and well today 8 days later! The doctors said they had never seen anything to equal this!! Power in the name of Jesus!! Love that you shared this story with us your readers.

That is quite a story! Years ago, when I was traveling with my dad through a snowstorm, the roads were covered with deep snow, and our car tire caught in it causing us to spin & turn into oncoming traffic. I called on the name of Jesus -- it was all I could think to do in such a circumstance, and he certainly protected us. What a comfort to know we can call out to him! Love your blog! I am a new follower, and look forward to reading more. Blessings! ~Sally @DrinkingFromMySaucer
