O Christmas Tree

Happy last week before the week of Christmas!!!
I love Christmas!
My shopping is  done, what little there was, and my Christmas dinner shopping list is almost finished.
My son and his family will be at our home on Christmas Day.
I will also make dinner on Boxing Day for several people in our church who have no family here in our city.

This is going to be a better Christmas than many I have had, because we will have people around us during the holidays.

I don't have room for a nice big Christmas tree, so I have several little ones around the house.
This one is on top of the armoire and we have created "Christmas Mountain" up there.

I know it isn't real clear, but I worked on it for a very long time and this is the best I could get...not sure why.

This one is on the mantel.

There are two small undecorated trees on my sideboard.

I will leave you today with my all-time favourite Christmas album.
The beautiful Mahalia Jackson.
I LOVE her voice.

Who is your favourite singer of Christmas music?

Cindy, your home is beautiful.. I am curious.... tell me more about boxing day... sounds like a wonderful idea.... I have the "big" trees up but sometimes I just feel it is to much work.. Of course, my daughters and their families expect all the decor at Nana's. They will all be in for Christmas.. Have a wonderful week and Christmas Blessings!

I like little trees scattered about oftentimes better than one big tree totally decked out. Sounds like you're going to be busy. Remember to relax!

Hi Cindy, I like your little trees and red accents.
I like most all Traditional Christmas carols, no matter who likes them,
I also like a non-serious song called "didn't I get this last year" by Bob Rivers.
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and special times with your family

I just love your Christmas tree scene on top of the armoire. It looks so pretty. I sometimes would like to forego the big tree for a smaller table top one. I'm happy that you will be having lots of family around you this Christmas and will also be helping out those who are alone. What a special gift that is! Have a wonderful and blessed Christmas week, my friend. Warm hugs, Pam

I forgot to add that Christmas wouldn`t be Christmas without Bing Crosby...but I love Andrea Bocelli, Celine Dion, and Il Divo too. Christmas music adds so much to the season and there is so many talented artists to enjoy!

Hi dear Cindy, I love all your little Christmas trees and festive vignettes dotted around the house, it really does look so festive and cozy! And it's so nice to have lots of people over for lunch at this time of year, it's after all a time of sharing and giving! This year we are scattered around the globe, so only a few will celebrate together, so I know perfectly well what you mean when you say you enjoy having people around you at this time of year! Blessings! Sharon

I love Mahalia Jackson too! What a voice. I love your Christmas mountain! Looks so pretty all lit up. Love your little trees all around. I'm so glad you'll have family with you this Christmas. It will be a little different for me this year since mother won't be with us. But I know she'll really be celebrating our Savior's birth in Heaven.
Merry Christmas, sweet friend,
Shelia ;)

Great idea to decorate with small trees when you don't have room for a bigger one. I may have to do that in future as I'm finding it harder and harder to find the floor space for my smallish tree (it is still wide as a regular tree). I especially like what you've done on top of the armoire. Have a wonderful Christmas.

Everything looks great Cindy. I'm so happy that you get to spend your holidays with people you love and care about. Your house is always decorated so lovely, so I just knew your Christmas decorations would be great!

My husband and I have plans to be with his parents on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We will then drive down to visit my mom and dad on the day after Christmas. Now that I'm married, it makes me cherish all of the time time I spend with my mom and dad. They are only four hours away, but it can be difficult to drive down and see them. I also feel so bad for both of them because my sister and I are no longer living at home. While talking on the phone with my mom she commented that "things would never be the same around the holidays", and it made me want to cry! It makes me tear up right now as I think about it!

Well, I'm typing a book! LOL Merry Christmas, Cindy!
