Vintage Christmas Pretties

Hello my friends, I hope you had a good weekend.

Saturday was a lazy day for us,
so hubby and I stopped in at GW for a few minutes.
And what to my wondering eyes did appear,
but a Santa Mug!

Isn't it cute?
I love these and have decided to collect a few.
Hubby did not agree, (with the cute factor)
in fact he completely agreed with the sticker that is on the bottom of the cup...

Now who would think such a thing and
then tag it as such?!
Hahaha, I think it is very funny.

I was very happy to find this... is vintage and slightly tacky, but that is what
I love about it.
Now to find a place for it.

Here is a darling little pillow that you can make.
Be sure to check out Robins blog,
Happy At Home, for the tutorial.
I really want to do this one.

Are you following any of the Christmas Home Tours?
This is a really great one.
The "Home for the Holidays"  tour starts at
Worthing Court.
It is a tour of six different homes starting today, Monday through Friday.

Have a good week and be sure to do something
fun. every. day!

I like your cute mug, and it just goes to show that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and they need to have their eyes checked! We, on the other hand, don't. ;-)

Hi Cindy, I love the Santa mug! It reminds me of a mug I had as a little girl :) I couldn't wait to use it each Christmas.

Although it's important to remember the reason for the season, its still fun to add a little Christmas tacky into the mix, and I for one love the mug....I think he's very cute! I'd display him proudly in my kitchen, too!

Hi Cindy
I laughed at the sticker on the mug!...makes me wonder if it was part of a gift exchange in fun...but it looks nice with your vintage décor.
I'm glad you are walking again..we'll try for a new time for tea

That is hilarious that someone actually went to the trouble of labeling the mug tacky. I think it is sweet and will look perfect with a cup of tea or cocoa in it.

Cindy you just find the perfect things for your house. And then you have just the knack to make them look so good!

The sticker is funny but not accurate- I think it is cute as can be.
We have 2 big Santa mugs, not vintage but I like them, and I got them down just last night for my hot cocoa.

Oh and thank you for the cold Canadian front coming our way, it is supposed to be below freezing for about 5 or more days. Brrrrr! I will be hibernating at home.

Cindy, I would have purchased that cute Santa mug too! Not tacky at all!

I am just beginning to decorate for Christmas --have a long way to go but my husband is away on business and I can't drag up all the decoration bins from the basement by myself

Lovely C'mas touches sweet friend! Love the santa mug, hubby says C'mas is gaudy and nice, lol! Thanks for your kind visit, sweetie.
