Vintage Gifts

Hello my friends, I hope your week is going well.
And I hope you are feeling well...
I am feeling much better.
Thank you for your well wishes on my last post.

A friend of mine, Ruth, gifted me with this lovely set of bowls last weekend, an early Christmas present.
You can imagine my excitement when I opened the box.

They match the sweet little butter dish that I purchased while visiting my daughter this Fall.

And they are the opposite of the beautiful bowl that I found at Value Village for $5.99 a few months ago.

Now you understand why I was so excited when I saw them.
The bowls belonged to my friends mother, but she said she would find more joy from knowing that I have them and are loving them, than she ever got from them sitting in her cupboard.

Love at first sight!

Thank you so very much for coming by and leaving a sweet comment.
I appreciate you wonderful ladies!

Oh, aren't you blessed to receive these beautiful bowls. That is one design that I do love and have never actually seen in real life. It's nice you have the butter dish and the other bowl to co-ordinate. Really sweet, Cindy! I love all your red touches in your kitchen. It looks so pretty and festive. Hugs, Pam

The Aqua Pyrex are my favorites too, I have a small collection and seem to always pick the aqua butter print first when I am using some.

Your butter dish is nice, I rarely see vintage Pyrex butter dishes. I am guessing they mostly were used everyday and ended up breaking.

I was at our antique mall today ( I had to get out of the house) and almost bought a set of pyrex bowls but they were varied solid colors. Yours are fabulous! Whenever I see pictures of your homey kitchen I just somehow feel better. It's always a delight to visit you. ~Ann

A gift of family pieces is certainly one to treasure...the aqua bowls are perfect for your lovely kitchen. The food that will be prepared in these bowls will have a little extra measure of love added to the ingredients! The Christmas header you are using for your blog at this special time of the year is so festive and pretty!

Hello Cindy!! You have one very dear friend who wants you to have such a sweet gift!! I know I would be just as excited :)
Brrr....it's cold up your way! We've been experiencing some 'colder than normal' temps here in OK. It's supposed to warm up this week and then get bitter cold again around Christmas. Stay warm my friend!! And glad to hear that you are feeling better.
